This would be a nightmare. I never understand sellers who are willing to put that much up front cash into inventory, hoping to make it up in volume. If I can buy that stuff fromChina, anyone else can and also sell it. That’s scary enough.
But then the shipment gets lost! Yikes.
Agree with Sharyn. As a buyer, I’d be angry if a seller told me to deal with USPS for a refund. The seller is the one who shipped so the seller should deal with USPS.
Here’s our process when a buyer says an item was received broken:
–Ask for photos.
–Apologize and give a full refund (or partial refund if only part of a set was broken).
–We file a USPS claim and hope we get payment.
–Then we make sure we didn’t do anything wrong so we don’t have another broken item. Otherwise, these things happen and best to just make everyone happy.
Awesome to hear your transition to “retirement” when you own all your own time.
About 15 years ago,I quit my job (when Ryanne encouraged us to start business together). It was tough knowing what to do when we could do anything. I have found that lists really help me. I’m not a slave to my lists, but I can dump all my ideas there and always have suggestions of what to do.
I’ve seen my father (like many boomers) wither away after retirement because he doesn’t really seem to know what to do with his time. That’s a longer story.
Hey J&R, I’m not a coffee drinker,
What! How do you consume caffeine, the national drug!
You had a great week. Are most of your buyers in the UK or Europe? Or are most Etsy buyers in the US?
He’s playing Frostpunk. That’s a fun game.
Selling sterling silver is like an automatic sale because people love hoarding silver. Nice!
If they paid for the item and you’ve sent a message trying to set up a pickup time, I’d go silent. Sometimes people are just very slow. Its not our responsibility to chase after a buyer.
Where does it say they live?
Those are hornets: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hornet
if you see that kind of nest, be super careful.
Hornets have stingers used to kill prey and defend nests. Hornet stings are more painful to humans than typical wasp stings because hornet venom contains a large amount (5%) of acetylcholine.[8][9] Individual hornets can sting repeatedly; unlike honey bees, hornets do not die after stinging because their stingers are very finely barbed (only visible under high magnification) and can easily be withdrawn, so are not pulled out of their bodies when disengaging.
Interesting idea in the abstract. Would a bank sell you unlimited amounts of bulk pennies? Could you buy 1 million of them over a year?
But as we’ve said, you cannot currently recycle copper pennies right now so it’d be a long play.

But it could be an old style and might be difficult to find. Contacting the company may help. I’ve done that with old cowboy boots.
I find it takes a 5-7 business for an item to sell and that specific money show up into my bank account. I find it all very mysterious.
I think Managed Payments follow bank schedules so maybe the delay is just Thanksgiving and the weekend.
What you saw is true. I just meant that Daysi can not have “make offer” on her listings, but eBay will still let her send offers to people.
I bet that’s it! You can not have “make offer” on an item, but still send people offers. Daysi is probably seeing offers she sent to people that were declined or expired.
Do you have “automatically decline offers” for prices below a certain amount? Otherwise Im not sure.
I have no idea how I could have gotten offers that were declined when I did not have offers turned on for that item.
This is baffling.
What page are you looking at that shows all these offers?
Fascinating. No wonder why US pennies are now just made from aluminum or some light weight material.
