If you have the land, those metal buildings are honestly a great investment. Really opens up the possibilities and improves the value of your home. Especially in WVA, who doesnt love a huge storage building.
This is where we bought ours: https://www.carolinacarportsinc.com/certified-standards/boxed-eave-roof-style/fully-enclosed
So what percentage did you buy on that first round? Do you have enough storage to handle that much more stuff?
So interesting that a large organized eBay store is now so normal. I skimmed through the video but it is all about storage and systems…and now burning out.
That’s nuts! Good video!
That is awesome!
There’s so much NASCAR junk out there, but we always grab it if it looks interesting or is vintage. Especially drivers that are no longer around.
Sounds like you’re at that point where you need to either have enough storage to hoard al the finds you can’t currently list (kind of a scavenger savings account)…or get a lot more snobby about what you buy.
We’ve gotten much more snobby about what we scavenge. Death piles are not wanted in our life.

Agreed. It’s just interesting when you actually meet, know your customers, and see them again and again. I know her and she knows us. She just decided she needed to publicly give her opinion. Life goes on.
I love your deep dive into your niche. Being thoughtful about any process makes us money.
When we first starting selling on eBay, most sellers had the poor photos, only one photo, multi-font descriptions, restrictive shipping policies, and aggressively off putting “rules”. We took clear photos from different angles, shopped anywhere, and assumed buyers were decent people. We’ve successfully sold a lot of items over the years! Its good to see that most of eBay is much more like this now.
And in our coffee business, we also emphasize hospitality. From the fresh ingredients, good design/atmosphere, and friendliness, I think our cafes are successful because its a place you want to be. Treat people well is the easiest thing any business can do.
Back in 2008, it was incredible reading the depressing eBay forums where seller would go on and on about how buyers were crooks. Havent looked in a while but I assume those sellers are still there predicting the failure of eBay.
That’s so smart to use Char GPT to help you write listings. Its right on the money.
Working man’s maple syrup
I think this is it! It makes sense too in the photo.
I bet collectors appreciate the thoughtfulness of your curated card lots. It seems really smart, especially for new collectors who might not have deep knowledge.
Is it not common to sell a lot of one team?
One of my biggest character defects is getting way too competitive so it was nice to see how you and the Amazon seller got along and co-existed as boxes came out. My blood pressure racing hearing about the boxes coming out. This is why I do better when I find caches that no one else notices.
At a library sale I’d expect many more book scanning guys. Why do you think it was just you and that one other guy going all in?
