I had the same thing happen to me that happened to Jay with the accept offer. The seller was very nice and canceled the order when I explained that I was selling the same item and thought I was accepting an offer on my item. The odd thing was this was just a listing that I had looked at for comps and hadn’t put on my watch list.
Love the new Instagram page Ryanne. I live in a small town in Westen Md where housing is super cheap yet requires sweat equity. We bought our 3 bedroom home 13 years ago for $42,500. Most of our downtown is also empty. The city’s efforts to bring business to our small city have been unsuccessful. Now they are planning on tearing up our downtown outdoor walking mall area to open it up for traffic. I wish people would move here and revitalize our city. But I’ve been waiting for 12 years.

I wrote to ebay business Facebook page to air my grievances about the new 14 day rule thinking it would fall on deaf ears. To my surprise and without me asking the cs rep refunded my store subscription feefor last month. And just now I have heard that they have reserved that rule. The announcement states that sellers can now add items to a markdown sale event even if the listing was previously in another sale event within the past 14 days as long as the listing price has not been changed.
Sometimes the squeaky wheel gets the grease.
Hello. I can relate to the first gentleman that called in. I was selling similar everyday 10 days and running sales every 2-3 days. So this is no longer being able to run a sale for 14 days has effected me. My last sale ended 6/25. I’ve been using the promotion order discount but have had 3 sales since using that. June last year was one of my best months. This year I’m down 40% down from last year.
Let’s not forget what happened to JCPenny when they attempted a similar strategy.
05/29/2018 at 12:56 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 362: Scavengers Are Always Prepared To Clean Out A Basement #41200Great podcast as usual. On the combined shipping issue. You can combine shipping on two different orders. I recently did it with no issues. I thing you just have to go through the bulk shipping page a note at the top of the screen even pops up telling you have orders that can be combined and you just follow the steps.
Also another great reselling podcast to listen to is resellingover4o, and another great youtube channel is thebinpickers they do haul and what sold videos.
Great Podcast as usual. Yes if you are listing on your phone then your listings are NOT mobile friendly. I know its crazy! Something ebay really should fix. That’s why I draft on my pc make sure they are mobile friendly then add photos from my phone then list them.
Also another great youtube channel is binpickers. They are a couple who have been reselling since 2000 and have moved across the country to find the perfect ( or close to perfect) location for how they like to source. Check them out they’re great.

03/08/2018 at 3:10 pm in reply to: Instant Pot Yogurt, it's yum and a fraction of the price of yogurt at the store! #34707MMMM. I’ve been wanting to try this, but I’ve been waiting for a health food store across the pa boarder to get in raw milk so I can smuggle it back into MD. But I could try it first with reg whole milk first.
About how much finished product does it yield? Thanks so much for the help John. I took your advise and priced it higher. I’m also going to try to work that fraternity into the listing as well. I remember your interview with Jay and when my Great Uncled offered me the postcards for free I thought of your interview, and thought why not even though they are a little out of my comfort zone. I’ll check out your youtube channel as well as I have a few more vintage postcards to list. This was was the oldest and most unusual. Thanks again!
Yes what makes is special is the little door that opens and about 6 pictures of scenes from around the town with a few from Williams College are depicted
01/07/2018 at 1:10 pm in reply to: Proper Way To Refund When Buyer Misuses Returns to Avoid Paying for Shipping #29965Ebay for business facebook rep contacted me back today They review the return claim and the messages open a case and closed it in my favor. Even said I didn’t have to issue a refund. But I did issue a refund minus the shipping cost.
01/06/2018 at 4:31 pm in reply to: Proper Way To Refund When Buyer Misuses Returns to Avoid Paying for Shipping #29921Thanks Adventure E I’ve messaged ebay for business facebook page and will contact ebay before refunding.
01/06/2018 at 9:53 am in reply to: Proper Way To Refund When Buyer Misuses Returns to Avoid Paying for Shipping #29912I have a similar situation. I had a buyer’s item returned to me for insufficient address. I told the customer that if they still want the pants they would have to pay for the shipping again or I can refund. This morning I woke up to a return request from them stating wrong item sent and a message stating that it was their fault and they just want their money back. But if I go to refund this it gives a full refund including the original shipping. I have no problem refunding but I don’t think I should have to pay for the shipping since this was not my fault.
Just a quick update on the Disney watches. I have now sold a total of 17 watches for $365. I did find that I undersold one of the watches. I took an offer of $10 on one, and now that buyer put in a new battery and is selling it for $150. But I can’t really be mad because I didn’t want to hassle with replacing all the batteries in all of the watches.
Yeap the two that sold were from the basket lot.
