• A few listings this week from cleaning out the garage and a getting rid of stuff I don’t use anymore. Also found a great deal on a few items at Home Depot to flip.
• In the last 2 weeks I’ve sold 28 boxes of L’Oreal hair color that I RA’d from a grocery store last summer for 50 cents a box. Completely sold out now, but could’ve bought a ton more as they had several carts full on clearance. 20/20 hindsight on this one.4/4/20-4/10/20

• No auctions or yard sales due to shutdown making it hard to find items to list. I anticipate this will eventually start impacting sales.
• I am getting a lot of projects done in the absence of listings, so at least staying productive.
• Since quitting my career job last March, store has been increased from 800 items to almost 2200 items and sales have increased from $250/week avg to $1000/week avg.
• I also applied for the small business loan/grant. Didn’t even get a confirmation e-mail, so I am very skeptical that this will amount to anything.Hey Zach, I’m glad I stumbled on this thread. By coincidence, I just listed this exact same hair dryer yesterday and Ebay pulled it down last night. Looks like you saved me a call to Ebay for the details on it. I guess I’ll just take my lumps on this one and donate it. Too bad though, it is brand new in the box. Thanks for posting about your issue with this.
01/28/2020 at 8:45 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 447: 2 Month Free Shipping Experiment #73415On the issue of figuring out sales tax collected by Ebay, I was able to find mine by downloading the monthly PayPal PDF statement under Reports/Statements/Monthly. There is a line for ‘Tax Collected by Partner’ for the sales tax that was collected for the month. I only had taxes listed for the months of November and December, but some of you may have had some collected in October. I’m not sure how this will change when I am forced to go to managed payments, as I am still using PayPal.
