That’s it! Genesis 32:28. Thank you!
I also studied Hebrew, but got some of the letters wrong when I tried to type that in.
Artist is Izik Rubin. He just doesn’t come up as recognized on the internet.
Congratulations you guys! That sounds like such a worthwhile project. I’ve been wondering what your project would be, but expected it would be something on a digital platform.
It’s been a long time since I posted my numbers, but recently I’ve improved things and thought it would be worthwhile to run the math.
eBay, July 8-14:
Total store items: 4008
Number of items sold: 64
eBay sales: $1,865.29
Average price sold: $29.15
Highest price sold: $550 Scientific Tool:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/273289871697I’m not counting Facebook sales, which have been a really good supplement. I only just got access to Marketplace, and the North Jersey scene is very profitable, both for buying and selling.
26 year old guy expanding and professionalizing over the past 3 years by paying attention to everything suggested here. Just hit 4000 and $100,000 in active inventory. I’m still selling tons of cheap CDs and DVDs because I found a cheap way of shipping them (idea thanks to your interview with postcard man). Everyone has been complaining about this summer, but my sales have never been better, thanks in part to expanded inventory of more expensive inventory, and in part to learning to isolate listing work to expand efficiency.
That was a super helpful coincidence! Thank you for checking. That’s how I hoped it would work, but I’ve never used one before.
I like to go through collections of things like CDs sometimes because of how much I can list in one sitting, but it takes so long. The idea came to me during a nap yesterday.

1. Regarding the money taken out of your PayPal account: I don’t think that the money was refunded to your buyer. When a case is taken up on eBay, PayPal automatically freezes the proceeds of the sale until a resolution is reached or you refund the money. What you’re noticing is probably just the money having been taken out of your available balance fund. Keep digging, and you should find a note on this in ‘Open Cases’ or some similarly named section.
2. Like Jay and Ryanne said, this is very uncommon, but eBay does have clear protocol on this that usually sides with the seller if everything is adequately documented. eBay also has a lot of reps who don’t know what they’re talking about, and it sounds like you reached one of those. Take photos of the returned empty box, and keep calling eBay until you reach someone who resolves it for you. After you’re done, file a formal complaint against the buyer. Google instructions on how to do it.Well, that was painfully easy.
For the record, that guide is outdated, as a lot of eBay guides aren’t updated to format changes. You need to first go into bulk edit mode, and then the export option is available there. Thanks, Jay!
I’m trying to make simple text lists. I would copy/paste the list into a listing description.
Used to do it manually for LPs, but inventory has grown too large for that to be much fun.He had one feedback on his history from a sale a long time ago, and it was a negative.
Update: I’ve left him a positive feedback, bringing his score up all the way to zero.
Sonia is correct about the translation. It’s written in an ornate or older style of Russian.
Download the Google Translate app for you phone. It has live camera translation for any language. Just incredible.
So I concentrate on records, and came onto the forum to suggest exactly this. 45s are worthless individually, but I have sold lots of 100-200 at very decent prices. There is nuance to how to divide it that depends mostly on content of the larger collection. If you comment on this thread, I would be happy to help you think it out.
05/30/2018 at 12:12 am in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 362: Scavengers Are Always Prepared To Clean Out A Basement #41252I’ve never heard of a limit. It’s easy; try it. Better for everyone. A lot of these buyers don’t realize how much buyer’s protection eBay affords them, and they’re surprised when I reach out to them and fix their problem. We tend to assume that everyone is on the same page, but a lot of these crazy-sounding feedbacks are coming from people who are just frustrated and don’t know how to use eBay correctly, not necessarily malicious people.
05/29/2018 at 2:14 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 362: Scavengers Are Always Prepared To Clean Out A Basement #41206Jay, I’ve been using my negative feedback strategy since they instituted the automated revision requests, so probably a couple years? I don’t have exact numbers, but from my altered feedback score I estimate that I get around 16 negative or neutral feedbacks a year. Around 12 are changed by the customer after we resolve their issue, and maybe 2 get removed by eBay when I call them about a customer being intransigent.
05/28/2018 at 9:34 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 362: Scavengers Are Always Prepared To Clean Out A Basement #41156Regarding negative and neutral feedback:
I get almost all of mine removed by the customers! Once in a while I’ll call eBay to remove erratic feedback, but if you treat it like any other issue, the customer is usually surprised and grateful and willing to remove it. And I’m so excited to have something to contribute to the podcast that taught me my business. Please consider the steps I take:
1. Treat the feedback like any regular communication complaining about an item. Message the customer: “I just read your note about __. I’m so sorry about that! Would you like to return it/ Would you like me to send you a replacement? No additional fee./ Can I offer you some money back for the hassle?” Don’t mention wanting the feedback changed.
2. Most customers will be surprised that you’re willing to resolve the problem, and will take you up on an offer for a resolution. Follow through the process, not basing it on, or even mentioning, changing the feedback.
3. Once you have sent them their return or replacement, message them again. “I just sent you the refund/return. Thanks so much for all your patience. Would you mind removing the negative feedback you left earlier?”
4. Send them an official Feedback Revision Request.
https://feedback.ebay.com/ws/BayISAPI.dll?ReviseFeedbackInitiateEvery Walgreens now accepts Fedex drop-offs! It’s been a game-changer for me, since there is a Walgreens nearby but not a Fedex. Surprised I haven’t been hearing more about this.
11/13/2017 at 4:12 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 334: The Holidays Are Just Another Day #25537You guys mentioned a debate over whether to display clothes on a mannequin or not. So I’d like to share the most effective dollar I’ve ever spent:

Takes up no space, is a helpful white color like the backdrop, and frames clothes photos with a human form. I still kind of want a mannequin because I think they’re so creepy, but this works so much better.

Oh, forgot to mention. I instituted the extended handling time policy. 130 orders waiting for me upon my arrival. I feel Ryanne’s pain.
