I do not break my Ebay fees down by item. I just expense the monthly charge. I have a line item on my profit & loss that is labeled Internet listing fees.
Yes, it covers books, CD’s, DVD’s, VHS. Any item in the media category.
Yay! I guessed right!
The key is to getting a good rep. Sadly, those seem to be few and far between in my experience of late.
I usually use a polymailer for shipping out plush toys. The only exception is if it has a battery compartment then I will box it. I haven’t had any issues yet, knock wood!
I always box them.
If I was shipping it, I would box it in the original box and then box that in a second box to 2) protect it and 2) disguise it. I use USPS all the time, so I’d ship it priority mail with $500 insurance and signature confirmation.
Nice sale!
candleholder?
I’ve been having the same issue. I haven’t found a rhyme or reason to it either.
I took a better look at the back of the book and it looks like it is a book club edition. They used to have 5-6 number codes on the jacket of a book club versus a UPC code like the trade version would have. I can’t find any photos of the book club version to be compare the cover to. Also, some book club books are shipped out shrinkwrapped as your book is.
I did find another listing for the same book on ebay:
Book person here. IT is out of print, but I wouldn’t say it is a rare copy. I see them quite a bit although I do see the paperback version more than the hardback version. Here is the link to the listing on Amazon:
Here is the ISBN for you: 978-0618345847
Your price seems fine to me, but if you can get more for it, give it a try. Also I’d change the title from “movie promo” to “movie tie in”.

I joined and was approved right away.
Exactly how we ship our comics too. Customers love the attention to detail.
I’ve had this happen quite a few times also. I contact my customer and double check the address, and see if they have another address they’d like it sent to. Usually, they have me resend it. If I don’t hear back from them, I issue them a refund for the item minus shipping and relist it.
I too sell comics so I’d love to hear how you pack them. 🙂
