That is a very cool looking piece. At first glance, it looks like a serving tray, but I can see how the compartments could’ve been molded to hold pipes. I wish I had information to add, but my research didn’t net much. I am interested to know what it is now.
Antonio Maurizi ?

This is a different style, but the signature on the insole & sole appear very similar.
It appears there can be a size variance, at least according to this description from an Amazon brand. They offer a smaller size to hold eggs still in the shell & a larger size they call a “double egg cup” for garnishing & seasoning a shelled egg.
Wow! I love to see your marker purchase continue to pay off–your pipeline, as you guys call it. That’s amazing! Great foresight and patience!
Way to go! I’m right behind you at 950! I can remember listening to the podcast back in my early Ebay days & wondering how in the world I could get to 500. It’s a lot of work–congratulations!! 🙂
Oh no, what a sad day–your podcast is my absolute favorite, Jay & Ryanne. The weekly glimpse into your business & lives has motivated me & so many other people. I looked forward to the podcast every week & am truly choked up to see it end, though I completely understand the choice to move on. I’m more of a lurker on internet forums, but wanted to express my gratitude for doing the podcast for this long– I really cannot thank you enough!
Hahaha…that last post gave me a good laugh.
Wow, he’s obnoxious! At the very least, you probably avoided more all caps messages that were sure to come had the order not been cancelled. Mr “Honest Christian” was rude!
I was somewhat uncomfortable with that too but complied with it for the reasons mentioned. :/
05/10/2020 at 9:27 pm in reply to: Photos of your item in front of a 90% bare bosom = eBay search manipulation? #77293I wonder if the added attention results in more sales. I personally would question if I was ordering electronics from a frat boy playing beer pong, but as a 50 year old straight female am not the targeted demographic. Haha..
I noticed another questionable thing while Ebay bra shopping recently. In this case, seeing a catalog photo of a model or dress form in only a bra would be no surprise. One seller uses a mannequin that is nearly obscene in the pose and exaggerated details–since “nipples” has already been mentioned here–those were very prominent. I wondered if they thought a sexy dummy would help sell bras or if they got the mannequin at an adult store closeout sale. Hahah…
05/10/2020 at 8:36 pm in reply to: Accidentally swapped labels, but can’t get a response from one buyer? #77291Oh no! I know your pain because I just made the same mistake. I got a message from buyer 1 Friday, and buyer 2 received her order Saturday according to the tracking. I am so mad at myself for the error.
I sent a return label to each buyer and plan to ship the correct item assuming they are both returned in the same condition. (One buyer received lotion I had in a clear plastic bag I heat sealed closed. In the picture she sent, it was no longer in the plastic bag). Luckily, the items were relatively low priced and about the same weight and shipped first class.
It has been stressful enough that I will triple check my orders in the future to avoid a repeat of this pain in the butt. Sorry it happened to you also. I sure do empathize, and hope you get the other item back and the shipping disparity resolved soon. 🙂

Update:
I ultimately returned the packing peanuts after not receiving a reply from the seller. They had free returns on and only refunded half the purchase price, claiming I returned the bag opened and partially used. I had to open a case to get a “courtesy” refund from Ebay.
I’m mainly sharing the update to encourage everyone to check the received quantity of any bubble wrap, mailers, peanuts, etc. This is a high volume, experienced seller with 99.9% positive feedback. A closer look at the seller’s negative and neutral feedback and googling the store name revealed many people had similar experiences with the same store, a legitimate business with its own website.

Ahh it does look like that! So it’s actually a type of yarn, not a stitch type! I did a google search and the photo I found of a boucle didn’t look as loopy. Then again, I don’t have my old lady reading glasses on! Thank you!
I love learning about these types of things too. What a great story about the sable coat that sold for $100 in 15 minutes. That’s a feeling I think a lot of sellers can relate to. You list an item you consider to be priced high that sells quickly, and wonder if it was priced too low. Oof…
I once sold a rare collectible ceramic platter with 4 decorative figurines. I lucked upon the entire set at a thrift store for $15, but sold the pieces individually. One figurine had a chipped area. I knew the other pieces could sell for around $300. I couldn’t find comps for it, so considering the condition, I listed it for $199. Even damaged, it sold instantly! I had that same feeling of “could I have made more money?”
Ultimately, I was happy to have made that kind of profit and wish I could duplicate it. But like you, I can’t help but wonder! 🙂
Thank you for the information, Sonia. It’s even more complicated than I thought! I found this coat in the sold listings, but the seller didn’t know what type of fur it was either. I think it’s the same as the one I have.
