That is how I generally research items I am unsure of. Knowing what I now have makes a big difference.
That it is and with no knowledge of anything Catholic. I’ll figure it out or put it up for auction and let the market decide.
Is there a way to date these or tell what the beads are made of? I see prices all over the place. Most of what was in this auction lot ranges from the 1960’s to early 70’s, so I would assume it is in the same range. Is there anything special about any of the charms?
Thanks, everyone! I would have never made that connection! Thanks!
Well put. That makes sense from a frugal and practical standpoint.
Right. And that may be the path I take. I do aspire to have a website at some point and I like the professionalism that myname@mywebsite.com portrays. I suppose it comes down to that vs cost. If it is rather easy to basically port my store to a website and maintain it, I wouldn’t mind that route. I also want my business cards to promote my ebay store as well as that I buy. One side has my store and contact information, the other side would give a short list of things I buy. Maybe that is not the best idea? I’m bringing this up to see what others have to say. Sorry if the initial post was a bit confusing; I hadn’t had an entire cup of coffee yet!
Thank you!! That’s exactly what I was looking for. Apparently you are a better Googler than me ;). Would you combine these for the price you mentioned, or sell them separately?
Thanks! I have found info on the books, but not on the slides. I’ve tried ebay and Google with no luck.
A couple weeks behind with starting a new job and having to order a lighting set up. I have quite the backlog from thrifts and a couple of estate sales. I do have 4 vintage men’s 40’s/50’s fedora style hats. All are in the box. One is a Dobbs. Each should bring more than $100.

Found these at a yard sale over the summer. It also came with the irons in the box as well. Paid $25 for both. I listed them together and the first buyer wanted only the irons. He paid $250 and these sold for $175 + shipping.http://www.ebay.com/itm/122237931620
Vintage men’s Burberrys hat. Found at a Goodwill for $5http://www.ebay.com/itm/122237946841
Noticed this at a Goodwill on a shelf of scarves and gloves. Noticed the label was still on it and it read 1988. Gladly paid $1.99 for it. Sold in about a week. Thanks!
Do you primarily go to estate auctions or consignment auctions?
I use a dress form I got off ebay for $53 for all clothing and jackets/coats. It works amazingly well and has paid for itself many times over. It also gives dimensions to the clothing that laying flat or on a hanger cannot do.
11/17/2016 at 9:43 am in reply to: Suggestions for Lexington, KY, Charleston, WV & Suffolk, VA #6012Lexington has several thrift stores in the area and all are fairly east to get to. I haven’t been up that way in a year or so. Last time I went prices at Goodwill’s were flat rate for most items (clothes, hats, bedding, games, movies, etc). The east and south east areas of town are the better areas. Also, there are several suburbs that have Goodwill’s if you are making a day of it (Paris, Georgetown, Nicholasville, Richmond, Berea). Berea and Richmond are college towns and Berea is a hippy town, so there may be some decent finds there. Good luck!
Awesome!…I’ll be picking up auctions on the weekends coming up after Thanksgiving..Looking forward to all the treasures in the box lots!
