Great field reporting! Thank you for all the infomation!
07/21/2017 at 8:41 am in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 319: Being Adults, Making Decisions #20594I created all of my own. I use to do HTML for my own templates so I had a base knowledge so that was helpful. If you get stuck let me know and I can show you mine.
07/21/2017 at 8:29 am in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 319: Being Adults, Making Decisions #20592Sixbit will be at Open and they are incredibly nice! Definitely take all your questions directly to them. You are going to love listing from there!
07/21/2017 at 7:48 am in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 319: Being Adults, Making Decisions #20586Still not sure how this forum works! I am here though, reading and listening.
To the person who set up Sixbit this week, YEA! I love Sixbit and can’t imagine ever listing without it. I doubled the amount of listings I could do in a day with it.
This summer has been horribly slow for us. Sales have been yuck! It is my fault though. I succumbed to the trend of going to the bins. While the bins work for a lot of people they just don’t work for me. It has been a good lesson in trusting what you know and staying in your lane. There is definitely profit there but it has really felt like a grind this summer. I am excited to be back doing what we know works for us and seeing our sales numbers go back up.
Anyhow love the podcast as always!
05/16/2017 at 7:40 am in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 310: Am I Selling on eBay the Wrong Way? #18081Good morning! Glad you guys are home safe and sound with your kitties!
Side note to the active content. If you run your listings through the active content scanner and you have links within your listings back to your store/other items you will notice you get the “target link” notification. Evidently those links need to be updated. Sometimes they work correctly and sometimes they don’t, whether or not they will ever work after June 1st is anyone’s guess.
The thought of updating 1200 HTML links was more than I could swallow (mine have already started to stop working sporadically) so I have decided to throw my entire store to auction this week. What ever doesn’t sell I will go through and either fix the link or remove it. This is probably a crazy idea but I was getting ready to shift inventory this summer anyhow so this just made me start a little earlier.
Hope you guys have a great week!
04/04/2017 at 7:08 am in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 304: Do a little bit today, then do a little bit tomorrow #15908Oh and one more thing. If you don’t need your ebay shipping supplies right away, wait until they offer an ebay bucks promotion. Money back on free money is really nice. 🙂
04/04/2017 at 7:07 am in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 304: Do a little bit today, then do a little bit tomorrow #15907Hey guys!
This was a slower week for us, but we are working on diversifying. I am currently working on building up Poshmark. It will be an interesting test. I am giving it 6 months to see if it is a viable option.
Anyhow about support for 2nd store. I was told this week that if I linked my 2nd store with my anchor store (simply having the same phone number for both accounts linked mine), I could call the anchor support number for help with smaller store. Just call the anchor support number directly and ask to speak about your second ID. Worked for me, hope it works for you!
Have a great week!
Good morning! So exciting to hear about everyone having good sales!
To your question about the meta tag for mobile. It was explained to me as basically a safety net. Your listings may look fine on mobile today but the tag makes sure they will continue to be mobile friendly. The fix is easy with the bulk editor. You can copy the code and then click item description. Click “switch to html editor” and then paste in the code.
Then you can copy the code into the HTML of your templates and you are all set. Have a great week!
We are writing several big checks. We always owe and while I know that owing means we made money I still hate writing the check!

Have a great week!

They have released the dates but no other information. I believe they said it would be July 25-27
02/28/2017 at 5:14 am in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 299: What Control Do We Have as eBay Sellers? #13511I would be interested to know this also, as most auctions seem to end at the opening bid. Although I do know an antique seller that does amazingly well and they are all auctions. So, maybe you have to build a following to be successful with auctions?
02/28/2017 at 5:12 am in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 299: What Control Do We Have as eBay Sellers? #13510Some things have certainly changed since that interview, but it is still just my husband and I working out of our house. No new employees (although we do hope to employee our daughter this summer) and no warehouse.
