Here is PayPal’s full list of fees
https://www.paypal.com/en/webapps/mpp/paypal-fees
Regarding the transfer to bank fees, PayPal has instituted a new “instant transfer” option. As far as I know, it was rolled out to select PP accounts in the beginning, so if you haven’t seen it, you may not be in the rollout. Here’s PPs information on it:
“If you are a U.S. PayPal account holder, you can transfer money out of your balance in two ways.* Transfers made using your linked bank account are always free and are usually deposited the next business day.** Now, with Instant Transfer, for a low fee you can transfer funds to your bank account even faster using your eligible debit card. Transfers using a debit card are typically completed in minutes. *** You can choose between your linked bank account(s) and any eligible debit cards when you make a transfer. Eligible debit cards include Visa and MasterCard debit that participate in Instant Transfers. Participation of these cards is driven by the card issuer.”

I have one queen size bed and one full size bed in my house. I use the full size (guest room) for all my large listing items. The guest room is full of stuff that can’t be cleared out of the way (very small house) so I just blank it out using Paint. Like this:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/183462042785For smaller items, I spread them out over the bed and take a photo from the top using a step stool. (Note: turn off the fan before you climb up on the step stool. Ask me how I know!)
https://www.ebay.com/itm/183462308651For twin size items, the full size bed is too large, so I “fudge” the pictures by “making” the bed on one side and then photographing from the side, like this:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/183464146019It’s been quite successful so far. Sales with good feedback, so buyers obvs. realise I’m doing my best.

Sharyn – I usually sell 2-3 items per day. I’ve sold only one item since last week, despite heavy listing. I need the cash this year, so it bites!

10/22/2018 at 5:30 pm in reply to: Trash Elf Twins Challenge 2018 Thread #3 From Week 31 August #50571Good week, folks, good week! Thanks for all the congrats. Wish my sales matched my listing. I’ve had the slowest week in months!
itemsfromthesouth – I uploaded your six into last week’s numbers.
bingbong and itemsfromthesouth – you’ll stay in the big group for a couple weeks until we find your listing trends, then I’ll start splitting ya’ll up into Twins and Triplets.
10/22/2018 at 1:10 pm in reply to: Trash Elf Twins Challenge 2018 Thread #3 From Week 31 August #50550bingbong – meant to say … sorry to hear about your tree! So glad nobody was injured and I hope the damage isn’t too bad. We had a heck of a time dealing with the aftermath of Harvey last year. Insurance shortfall was in the region of $40,000 and it was both stressful and time consuming to get everything done and fixed within the timeframe mandated by TWIA. Hope your insurance is going to cover you!
ChristineR – you know you’ve won already, right? The best I can hope for now is a draw. If I miss just one week, you’re outright winner. I’m aiming to whup you on numbers instead! 😀
VintageLacy – can’t wait to see the drone report!
10/22/2018 at 12:46 pm in reply to: Trash Elf Twins Challenge 2018 Thread #3 From Week 31 August #50546Sharyn – LOL. The big boss, eh? 😀 😀 😀 😀
itemsfromthesouth – No, drafts don’t count, unfortunately. Drafts don’t always make it into listing, and it just makes things that much murkier to keep track of. Items are listed to count. Sorry! But… you don’t have to wait for any “start date” to upgrade your store. I upgraded mid-month for mine and eBay just made a pro-rata adjustment.
bingbong – great to have you with us! Welcome!

eBay’s doing all sorts of odd things. I got a warning because I was listing used underwear – on shorts. The reason was the brand name: Joe Boxer. eBay saw them as used boxer shorts. I changed the brand to Joe B. and had no problems. I also got a warning for keyword spamming for using “black, not blue” in the title, the condition, and the description. The item was black, not blue, but looked blue in the photos, it was that kind of black. It sold, so I didn’t bother with doing anything about it. However, I’m now careful about my wording.
It’s getting harder and harder to keep track of all the hoops!
10/21/2018 at 8:39 pm in reply to: Trash Elf Twins Challenge 2018 Thread #3 From Week 31 August #50478LOL. Thanks! The size of the store would be great, but the biggest celebration would be the Hubs doing a Snoopy Happy Dance at getting his garage back! 😀
10/21/2018 at 5:31 pm in reply to: Trash Elf Twins Challenge 2018 Thread #3 From Week 31 August #50465Nice, Sharyn! I was actually thinking of doing something very similar with my donated clothes, but was going to put the words “capsule wardrobe” in the title. You’ve grouped the colors really well!
P.S. Your kitty is so cute! I just want to give it cuddles!
10/21/2018 at 11:01 am in reply to: Trash Elf Twins Challenge 2018 Thread #3 From Week 31 August #50456P.S. I might have managed a couple more listings if I didn’t have so much help!
10/21/2018 at 10:55 am in reply to: Trash Elf Twins Challenge 2018 Thread #3 From Week 31 August #50455Phew! What a week! The new lightbox is awesome and I’m thrilled. Hasn’t entirely resolved the photography problem, but it has made a huge improvement so listing is faster. Also, this week I did a lot of smalls that were very similar, as in just change color or size, which meant I could whack ’em out! Thus one of my best listing weeks ever! Total of 51 items listed, all Death Piles.
Actually, most of my listings for the year have been DPs. I’ve not been shopping for new stuff bc my DPs were so big. I’m making a considerable dent, but it looks like I won’t clear them this year, unfortunately! If I can keep up this pace, I’ll probably be ready to hit the Yard Sales in the summer!
Nice!
I love this thread! 😀
The new lightbox is soooo popular now that the days are cooler! Every chance she gets…
