Steve has the same technique as us when selling an item hanging on his wall- price VERY high and be willing to part with it. Beautiful, mid century modern starburst clock sold for $500, that’s the right price!
Scavenger Life Episode 325: New Rental Done, Now Hopping On A Plane!
Jay shares a list of all the stuff that happened in the last few weeks since we posted a proper podcast. So much stuff! The biggest being that we finished our rental and it’s on Airbnb ready to rent when we come back from our trip. Hope you’re having a great week!

Love the vintage German Honigspender sale (you gotta click the link to know what that is!)
Scavenger Life Episode 324: A Day In The Life Of A Scavenger VIDEO!
We planned on doing the podcast this weekend, but as our month long trip approaches, and a million tiny details at the renovation have to get done for photographs, we find ourselves with very little time. So ride along with us on a typical Scavenger Life day!

No Podcast? Hey We Had To See An Eclipse in 100% Totality!
A fellow eBay scavenger and podcast listener offered up some space to stay and see the full solar eclipse in the 100% totality zone, so we took her up on it. South Carolina is a good 7-8 hour drive for us, but it was well worth it. We are sad there is no podcast this weekend, but boy, was that an amazing experience! Hope you all got to see it too. Thanks Lana @224CoWorkSpace for hosting us for this amazing event! Hope you are having a great week!

What Sells On eBay: Breg Polar Care, Post WW I German money, Bike trainer, Pendleton board shirt, Bullworker, Seatbelt purse, Blow mold Santa
Steve sold a vintage Pendleton “loop collar board” shirt, USA Made, some of the best shirts you can find. Why is it called a board shirt you ask? Because back in the 50s and 60s, The Beach Boys would wear these for surfing! They were even originally named The Pendletones. What!
Scavenger Life Episode 323: What Keeps You Up At Night?
The dream of quitting your job and running an eBay business is supposed to lessen the stress of life. And it’s true in many ways. You can work on what you want to work on (as long as you’re working). You can choose your days off. You can go watch a movie in the middle of the week. You can travel anytime you want. This is the dream.
In reality, there’s a lot of stress to running your own business. And if you’re ambitious you keep adding more and more things to the pot, trying to build on success. It’s just how the mind works. We run an eBay business to have calm in our lives, but then we purposefully create stress by taking on new projects. If one thing is successful, maybe this other thing will work too. Go figure.
Last week someone mentioned that criminals use eBay to launder money and sell illegal items. Check out this Gizmoto article.
Hope you had a good week.

Scavenger Life Episode 322: Don’t Forget To Make Your Own Weekends
Working for yourself has it’s perks, like taking time to do other things (like relax) on any random day. That being said, we often forget to do it and just work all the time. Having family visit from out of town made us slow down a bit and take a break to do some fun stuff like swimming and cooking on the grill! Our eBay store is still going strong despite the dead of summer. Hope your week was great too.
