I have 1000+ items in my store. My first area is numbered boxes, 1-20. When I am listing, I first check which boxes have room in them and then put the box number in the description. These are items that fit in a box and are not too fragile. I throw them in a padded mailer if there is any problem about scratching.
Second area is flats: Flats #1, 2, 3, etc. They are plastic bins. Small flats boxes go the short way and larger flats boxes go the long way.Saves a lot of room. These are framed pictures and anything else flat. I put cardboard between each one.
Third, is breakables. They go on open shelves. I don’t have so many that I can’t find things, but LIKE with LIKE is all I can say.
Fourth: Large metal item: tackle boxes, coffee pots, crates, suitcases etc. go up above in my garden shed. I just write Shed at the end of the description
Fifth: Smalls. I have drawers in my office for smalls. Small #1, 2, 3 etc.You can’t find smalls if they are mixed with large stuff.
Games/model kits: Shelves in my office
Hats: one box in garage for caps and one shelf in house for fragile ones
Jewelry: a drawer in my office
Silverware: drawers in my office
Paper: drawers in my office
This is such a time waster! No matter if I rotate my iphone 6 and let it adjust, it still rotates the photos. I also have a problem (only in ebay app) that several times a day, as I’m taking photo, the app crashes and I lose the photos. Why? Doesn’t happen to my husband with his 6S.
There’s been quite a discussion on the packing slips no longer having the price and shipping paid. Tyler@ebay had this response.
“This was an intentional change. The shipping labels packing slip will soon be retired and replaced, but in the meantime we needed to remove the prices on the existing form due to discrepancies in sales tax shown (when charged).
The quantity purchased should not have been removed, but it was. We have rolled the change back to ensure that quantity of items purchased will display, which means for the time being that prices will also display.
The newer packing slip/invoice option available in Seller Hub (Seller Hub>Orders>Awaiting Shipment>Actions drop down>Print Shipping labels or invoices>Invoice/Packing Slip) still has both price and quantity, and it will retain that information going forward.”
Some people are printing their shipping labels using the invoice/packing slip type or in Paypal. Would be nice to get a warning on things like this.

what is the product Steve uses on scratchy controls? And do you have to take a radio apart to use it?

The only trouble I’ve had with people buying multiple items was when “immediate Pay” was turned on, they couldn’t put them in the cart together and then checkout. So if they message me, i just edit and turn immediate payment off and it was fine.

My latest sale, buyer paid 13.51 for Smartpost shipping from MN to NY. I had it at 4 lbs but it will be 5. (22 x 1 4x 11″ ) My ebay smartpost label is coming up at $33.54! Fedex home delivery is 20.44 and Parcel is $16.14. Priority would be $40. If it’s the post office’s problem, I don’t know why parcel is the best price.
This is how I see sharing info on what sold and BOLOs. If you list your item for $15 and mine is at $45, they will buy yours. But when you discover that the item is actually more valuable, you raise your price and i have LESS competition. Our prices are closer. So besides sharing knowledge because we are generous human beings, it actually might help us. But I agree, keep quiet in your local area.
