Anyone else notice the change in the packing slip the last couple of days? If you generate it from the shipping label page at the top, it no longer contains any pricing – just item title and quantity. I reached out to eBay concierge who said that it is intentional, but did not have a reason. The workaround if wanted is to go to the Orders page, dropdown menu beside the item and select “print invoice/packing slip”. That has the “old” info on it, including prices.

i hadn’t noticed that. but i print using the “print invoice/packing slip” on the to-be-shipped page not the bulk shipping label page.

I normally print out the packing list (using the old bulk shipping page), and then cut out each strip as the packing slip. I use these to match the item to the label and then throw in the slip. These have never had the price on them.
However, today I had a rather large package for a doll crib, so I decided to print out the full size packing slip using the shipping labels page. This new label printed out without a price, so I am seeing this change as well.
I know that third party shippers ask you not to put a slip with a price in the box. I get a purchase from them only every once in a while. I’m wondering if the change is for these shippers since they are big customers and largest buyers for eBay.

I always print a packing slip from the shipping label page and just noticed this week that the prices are missing….but only on about half of my slips. This is kind of a pain, because I print an additional packing slip for myself and then attach the shipping label receipt to it. I know, I know, it’s obsessive, but I like having that hard copy of the item I sold and the packing slip with tracking number on it. Now I have to jot down the price and what the buyer paid for shipping. Until I read these posts, I thought it was some glitch on my part.

I too print from “print invoice/packing slip” one at a time since a busy day for me would only have two or three orders. I personally wouldn’t feel comfortable having the prices printed on the stickers, though if printing in bulk having the item listed to ensure it goes on the right box would be helpful.
We’re all perhaps a little “obsessive”. LOL. I print out my monthly invoices and my order page every month (now conveniently downloadable from seller hub) which has all my tracking numbers and whatnot on it. I match all this to my spreadsheet to make sure everything is up to date and accurate. At some point I’ll upgrade my spreadsheet to the professional one mentioned in another thread that automatically pulls in the info from eBay. That would be a time saver…though I’d still probably obsess over it’s accuracy. 🙂

There’s been quite a discussion on the packing slips no longer having the price and shipping paid. Tyler@ebay had this response.
“This was an intentional change. The shipping labels packing slip will soon be retired and replaced, but in the meantime we needed to remove the prices on the existing form due to discrepancies in sales tax shown (when charged).
The quantity purchased should not have been removed, but it was. We have rolled the change back to ensure that quantity of items purchased will display, which means for the time being that prices will also display.
The newer packing slip/invoice option available in Seller Hub (Seller Hub>Orders>Awaiting Shipment>Actions drop down>Print Shipping labels or invoices>Invoice/Packing Slip) still has both price and quantity, and it will retain that information going forward.”
Some people are printing their shipping labels using the invoice/packing slip type or in Paypal. Would be nice to get a warning on things like this.
