Can we take a guess at your top secret purchase? My guess is a CNC router table 🙂
Not sure if anyone has delt with this before but thought I would mention it since its the first time this has happened to me and ive been selling on ebay for almost 10 years.
I sold an item that was a local pickup in august of last year and the guy picked it up from my house. He then 6 months later reversed the paypal payment on the item and I wasn’t able to win the case because there was no tracking since it was locally picked up. So I would say the only safe way to do a local pickup is to have them pay with cash.

I too struggle with the identity of selling on ebay. Its hard to tell people you sell on ebay without them looking at you with the deer in the headlights look like you youre unemployed. I make pretty good money on ebay and have rental properties. I had a girl ask me a couple weeks ago what I do, and when I told her she said that reminded her of the guy from the 40 year old virgin movie. HAHA.
Just transferred around 1000 listings from my second store into my main account using ink frog. Really excited about saving the 75 a month from my store subscription and not having to log in and out of two accounts. Thanks for the info.
Just chiming in. My main store is krauseinhiemer. My store has been auto excepting returns for the last 6 months. I also just wanted to say that when I first started a few years ago the holiday season was good for me but the last couple years my good part of the year is more during tax season. From January through April is way better for me then the Christmas season. My sales are down but still pumping along pretty good.
Hello, this may have already been asked, but can you link to the 20 dollar security camera that sends to your phone. Ive been wanting to get one for awhile

It used to be a nice extra platform but about a year ago they started distributing sales by rotating your listings out of view after a sale until other people without sales sold items. After they did this my sales on the site dropped off the face of the earth. IMO its a waist of time unless you use a site like Instagram and have a huge following to drive in buyers. DONT DO IT! lol

Theres a guy that lives in my town that owns a couple laundromats that also have tanning beds in them and I think he does pretty well with them.
06/06/2017 at 9:30 am in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 313: What’s your Backup Plan to eBay? #19059I have been working towards a backup plan for the last 2 years. My first move was that I purchased a duplex that I live in with a renter that covers almost all of the mortgage. I then several months ago used a paypal loan to purchase a foreclosure that is now paid off and fully remodeled with close to 70K worth of equity that will be rented soon and rents for 800 a month. I worked with a guy flipping homes for about five years so im able to do all the work myself which saves me a ton of money. My next move is to look for a four plex or triplex that I can pay cash for. I really need ebay to hold out for another year or 2 and I can be almost completely out from underneath it. I really dont see ebay going anywhere but thats my plan.

05/15/2017 at 11:54 am in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 310: Am I Selling on eBay the Wrong Way? #18027Finishing up Listening to the podcast. I have around 5000 items in my store and organize 90% of the items in storage bins that are numbered. I add the bin number to the listing description so when it sells its easy to locate. Once the bins start getting low I refill them with new inventory. Just guessing around 200 bins total. I also keep 2 dehumidifiers going in the basement which keeps the moisture out of the air and it works well.
krauseinhiemer is my main store and thevintageengineer1 is my back up.
05/15/2017 at 11:08 am in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 310: Am I Selling on eBay the Wrong Way? #18017I love having a huge store full of over priced items, I think it gives you so many more options. It allows you to not have to ship out as many items to make the same amount. It also helps to grow your store, alot of people dont think about it but a 5,000 item store has a value if you ever decided to sell it. You can also run a sale to generate extra cash If you need it. Also vintage things arent loosing value, if youre in this for the long term the market will catch up to your overpriced items.

04/03/2017 at 11:44 am in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 304: Do a little bit today, then do a little bit tomorrow #15831The House was listed by the bank for 14,900. I put in a full price offer and there were 3 full price offers so they told everyone to do their last and best offer so I put in for 17,050. The house could be listed untouched for 45,000 but since its a forclosure I will have to live in it for a full year. Its awesome because I already own a duplex and I will be able to move out of my duplex and into a fully paid off house and be living for basically free.
