I sent a message asking the buyer if it looks opened, mostly to make sure I haven’t lost my mind, and shoved books in with the boots I shipped that day.
The sale was less than $20, so no big deal to refund. Just a situation that has be scratching my head and doubting my sanity!
Ok, I have to ask. Large size bras sell well? Have you had any issues with creepy guys asking too many questions about the bras? I have never considered selling these, because…well, I associate second hand undergarment sales with creeper-guys.
That is one area I have always said “Heck no” to, but if there is potential, I will look again. Large size bras are depressingly expensive!

Check your “package type”. Is it set to “Letter”? I had the problem you described when some listing were set to “Letter” rather than “Package or thick envelope”.
Yes, packing list, packing slip, invoice, pick list…whatever you want to call it. That piece of paper that goes into the box, and says “This is what you bought, Thanks for your business”. 🙂
I am not suggesting to eliminate the current set up. You would still be able to use your dedicated label printer. I would like to see this added as an option, along side the current option to print a label and shipping receipt.
There are lots of sellers that do not use adhesive backed labels. They either tape the label on, or use the plastic sleeves that adhere to packages.
Right now? Super duper slow, because I am super duper unmotivated. :/ I listed 7 in the past 65 minutes. Everything is photographed already. I just have to type it up, measure if needed, and weigh.
Small piece of bubble wrap and then in a small padded mailer, that gets folder over on itself.
Yes, the post office will take the extra flat rate boxes back.
You can order FREE Priority mail boxes that are *not* flat rate from the usps website. They come in a variety of sizes. There is a small cube size that comes in handy for a lot of things. I also use the Regional Rate A boxes quite a bit.
So if you have something that is too heavy for First Class, you can send it priority in a non-flat rate box, and charge the buyer based on the actual weight of the item. This is usually cheaper than using flat-rate boxes.
If you need plain brown boxes, talk to any local business to see if you can get them. Grocery stores, drug stores, pet stores, Walmart, etc. If you use Facebook, you can put the word out on local buy-sell-trade groups, or among your friends that you need boxes, (and air pillows, packing peanuts, etc). It never hurts to ask.
I get most of mine from my local post office for free. All the labels, cards, tape, forms, etc. get shipped to the post office in plain, brown boxes. They gladly save them for me, so they don’t have to break them down and toss them. Saves room in their dumpster, which means one less expense for their location.
The other thing that may be working against you is your low feedback. I have seen some other new sellers struggle with asking higher prices.

I have been wanting to do a similar thing for my son. He was given several Savings Bonds as a gift by well-meaning older relatives a few years ago, “to help with college expenses”, *cue laughter* The interest rate is awful, something like 0.34%, and they take 20 years to mature. I want to cash out the bonds, and then use the cash to buy inventory to flip for him. He will get $500 if we cash them out now, and $1000 in 17 years if we let them mature. I am positive I can get him more than $1000, and we won’t have to wait another 17 years to do it.
I think I will try that experiment after I clear my death piles. Death Pile Death Date is February 25, (the date of the next local auction).

Agreed, I think it’s Swedish. My sister’s best friend is from Sweden. I will ask her to take a look.

Total sales: $344.46My overall return rate is 0.53%. I have had 3 returns this past year, 1 for fit, 1 person changed their mind, and 1 person who is just a lying sack and got free use of Halloween decorations from me by claiming INAD, (not that I’m bitter or anything).
I am running an experiment with auctions. I have a basic level store, so I get 250 fixed price listings and 250 auction listings free. I have never used the auction listings very much, and decided to utilize them to move some stuff that was lower value and/or had been sitting a long time on my shelf. Most of what I listed, (and sold), were books that could be shipped in free ebay-branded padded mailers. I started the auction at the same price I would have listed them as a fixed-price listing. Most sold for the starting price, a few had a couple of bids.
I initially listed 51 items, and 12 of them sold. So far, only 1 non-paying bidder. The 11 auction payments I received totaled $103.62.
Was it worth it?: This week, yes, (to me). The buyers paid up quickly, and the books were super easy to pack and ship. I “lost” about $10 in ebay and paypal fees for those sales, and I have *maybe* $7 in COGS for those items, (I estimated high, because I cannot remember if I paid a dime or a quarter for some of the books).
I thought about that, and it’s possible. There are other indications that point to them being something other than authentic Coach boots, (no style name or number inside the boot shaft, no “made in Italy”, no leather zipper pulls, crooked stitching along the top of the boot).
The other Sammi boots had contrasting shaft lining, as well. The black boots have red lining, and the brown boots have pink. These do not have contrasting lining.
Sorry. :/ I’m not trying to rain on anyone’s parade. I would just hate to see someone get Vero’d for questionable items, and Coach is high on ebay’s radar. I collected vintage Coach items for a few years, so I became familiar with details to look for on authentic items.
I guess it’s possible they are authentic Coach boots in a different style, that got resoled and reheeled, and the prior owner removed the leather zipper pulls, and the style name and number were worn off, AND this pair also happened to have a quality control problem, where the stitching is off. Listing them under those conditions is not a chance I’d be willing to take with my account, though.

I’m not sure what you have, but they aren’t Sammi style Coach boots.

If you look up “Coach Sammi” on ebay, you will see some differences between yours and the authentic ones. The heels are different, the soles are different, there is no Coach lozenge imprinted on the bottom of the soles, no leather zipper pulls.
If they are authentic Coach, there should be a size and style number imprinted somewhere inside the shaft of the boot, in gold or silver, with the place of manufacture. Sammi was made in Italy.
