like jay said, we were heavily relying on carbs as a cheap and easy way to eat. i would live on bread, bagels and pasta if i could, i just love that food. but my weight was going up up up and not stopping. one day mikey and wendy (our original Scavenger Life collaborators) mentioned they had gone keto and it just made a lot of sense to us. it’s not easy, but we feel much better, lost a bunch of weight and have stayed steady since then.
i dunno, i would have shipped them the same as you. sometimes these older items have hairline cracks that we never see and maybe the pressure of the bubble wrap and stacking them cracked it. i’ve had that happen before too. *insurance*!
p.s. if airbnb doesnt work out, which i hope it will since you’ll have access to a kitchen for cheap meals, we love the pod hotels

we’ve stayed at Pod 39 https://thepodhotel.com/pod-39/ a couple times when we needed a few nights between stays or flights.
Pod 39 has an amazing roof top bar, that is open all the time, so i have grabbed a bagel/coffee down the street and had a lovely breakfast up there a few times.when are you going? we love manhattan and brooklyn (park slope, fort greene, and dare i say williamsburg). but it really depends on your budget and where you can stay on airbnb and at what price. that generally dictates where are going to be in nyc. we have good friends in manhattan and brooklyn, so we have not airbnb-ed in nyc but once years ago. and stayed in a hotel a couple times for a last minute deal.
i think you said it yourself when you mentioned you were “quick nickel vs. the slow dime”. quick = sell for lower prices and faster with a smaller inventory (a bookshelf or a few bins) vs slow = sell for higher, takes longer with a larger inventory (a storage building). you do whatever works for you.
some weeks we don’t buy stuff, or if we do it’s bread and butter, not worth mentioning (probably some basic clothes).
thanks for that sharyn! i find it odd that they default the discount on. mine was like that too when i first started using FedEx on my listings.
as far as descriptions now, it’s just measurements, nothing more.
i might add something if it’s higher priced or furniture, but that is getting more rare.
i find that no one looks at that stuff and ebay is hiding it more and more.i’ve sold a couple Lampe Berger burners, they are high end and expensive. it would be worth selling them for sure.
