yes, that method has worked for me. change the address to Post Office …….
and write in the box number where the dots are.8×2 is a great size, just roll it up, get a thick contractor trash bag, and wrap it around that with tape. if you have large polymailers, i would also wrap it in one or 2 of those with lots of tape and you should be fine. just weigh and print a label.
that video shows wrapping in carbaord and shipping in a padded flat rate envelope. i’ve never done it that way. now that First Class is up to 1lb, i ship wrapped in thick paper or bubble wrap, but them in one of the small ebay branded boxes and ship First Class, never had a mug break.
i would do local pick up with info on how they could do freight themselves (get a quote from uShip.com) that’s what we do.
then people decide if they want to pick up or have someone pick up for them.that reminded me that i wanted to make a Meetup Topic for people to organize meeting in person if they wanted. here it is–

#1- if she opened a return case as defective, you’ve accepted the return and await their shipping. you said they paid for their own shipping and must mailed it back? but they did it through ebay returns? or they did it on their own? if they did it on their own, that’s on them to pay for. if they opened the case as defective, your 20% fee will not show up on the refund page (or it will be greyed out). basically you agreed to refund all their money including shipping back to you, which sucks, but that’s the facts.
#2- go with the mantra (i’m so sorry you’re unhappy, please return for a refund). she’s fishing for money back, which is lame since she already got more than 50% off. just call her bluff, if she’s really unhappy with a tiny amount of pilling, she should return it.
i love buying something (new or thrift), using it for a couple years or so, then selling it for as much or more than i bought it for. that’s really the best feeling!
