funny you should say that, we’re playing email/interview tag with her right now. trying to connect and do interview as soon as our weird scavenger schedules sync up!
yeah i love my brother printer, this is the newest version of the one i have–

and it’s been great and very economical, esp when you can refill the toner yourself. this is my video on how to do that–
i also use a Dymo 450 thermal label printer for USPS ebay labels and love it. no toner to refill ever, though it only does USPS labels, not Fedex or Intl.
https://goo.gl/XE5IB5the hilarious thing about this bear is that our cats are super freaked out by it. they keep staring at it and avoiding walking by it. so funny.
i’m surprised your box would be off by 4 oz, that’s quite a lot (in shipping terms). couple things- did you weigh the item before you put it in the the box (i know, dumb question) and the box was 4 oz? can you make sure your scale is zeroed? mine shows negative numbers if it’s zeroed to a tare or a container. can you return the scale from where you bought it? maybe it’s defective.
i never noticed the coming and going of icons. and i’m pretty sure everyone selling on ebay gets the commercial discount for shipping nowadays. the percentage varies depending on the size, weight, location of your label.
just to echo what others have said- APO addresses are treated like domestic addresses, so media mail should apply the same. though, as you noticed, they make you print a customs form along with it, which can get annoying. APO addresses will never go through GSP, as they are considered Domestic US addresses.
list it and forget it!
we don’t have that many belts. so they just get put in a bin with no further organization. but i think if you coil them up, they should be fine. people store them like that in their drawer, right?
you could store them individually in ziploc bags with code numbers and put that code number in your listing so when it sells you know it’s belt 001-1 (number of belt and what bin it’s in? something like that) we do that with fabric. we number it and put that number on the description, so we know where it’s located.
hopefully soon, you won’t see us, since all our new listings have no models because it’s faster. let’s move that old inventory!
wow! that is great, i have always had the worst time cleaning those. nice tip.
yes, that method has worked for me. change the address to Post Office …….
and write in the box number where the dots are.we just store them in a plastic bin. when you say a ton, how many?
8×2 is a great size, just roll it up, get a thick contractor trash bag, and wrap it around that with tape. if you have large polymailers, i would also wrap it in one or 2 of those with lots of tape and you should be fine. just weigh and print a label.
Welcome! What kind of stuff are you scavenging to sell?
