Yep, I did the same thing with some golf clubs. I had a near full set of womens irons I was going to sell as a set and I was going to be lucky to get $150. I decided to sell them separately – been selling them for $30-50 each. Already made over $200 and I have a few of them left.
Ryanne,
It was an ING Orange Savings account back in the 2000’s. The rate was 10%! It was an order of magnitude better than what banks were offering, which was around 2%. Even the best CD was 4-5% at the time.My wife (then girlfriend) was in a car accident and she received a $20k cash settlement. Instead of spending it she put it all in that 10% savings account. Eventually the rate dropped to next to nothing, but collecting 10% on $20k was pretty cool.
That paid for the down payment on our first house.

New Listings 34Summer Sales Goal: OVER weekly goal by $141.40 (YAY!)
Running total is still trailing by $1425.60I only have 3 weeks left for my summer goal, and I would need to average $1350 in sales a week to meet the goal. I’m listing again, but posting 3 record weeks in a row in the summer seems like a long shot. My very poor week last week shot me in the foot pretty bad. On the whole though, I’ve done very well. There were two very bad weeks that made up almost $1100 of my deficit.
Our vacation is booked and paid for – a 3 bedroom oceanfront condo. We decided against doing a 2 week vacation and instead split it up. We plan to go to Orlando for a week in February.Scavenging this week I bought 2 electrolux canister vaccums with the power nozzles at yard sales.I almost walked away from the second one because I didn’t want to pay $8. Lol! I only paid $2 for the first one so $8 felt like highway robbery! I tried the walk away thing and it didn’t work, so I circled the block and came back and paid. Just the hose sells for $40! I’ll make over $100 for each vacuum.
I’m going to hit the listing hard for the rest of the month. I want my fall sales to really step it up a notch!
Their freaky fast delivery is no joke. I’ve ordered twice through the app at a hotel and it was 15 minutes from the time I hit submit!
I can always tell when a new pricer is working at the local Goodwills. They are convinced everything is made of gold and the prices go through the roof on even the junkiest of junk. A couple weeks later the prices go back to normal.
I have 3 of these bad boys mounted over my photography area:

It also came with a boatload of the big photography CFL lamps.
I bought 5/8 dowel rod and made my own wall mount rods to mount the lights.
You could use the 100w daylight LED’s from Walmart with those and have plenty of light in your photo area.
I’ve been wondering for years what “retail ground” was. Now I know!
Nothing special – it is a pair of shoes.
I have 30 day returns on my items. This is new. Every other return the date ebay says they have to ship the item back has been 5 business days. Doesn’t matter if the item is a standard return or INAD, the buyer has always had 5 business days to ship. This item gives them 14 days. They’ve changed their policy but I see no announcements for this change.
Or don’t plan on going to a thrift store but get an overwhelming sensation that a special treasure is waiting there for you so you just have to stop. This is how I’ve found several $200+ items, so I trust this one.

New Listings 27Ughh…terrible week! I did get back into listing though, so that’s a positive.
The last few weeks we’ve been building a big pile of junk for our oldest kid to have a yard sale. This is stuff that I wouldn’t even consider selling on ebay – just wanted it gone.
She woke up early to set up, and ran the sale all by herself. She is a pretty good negotiator! She made herself $53 on stuff we were just going to take to the goodwill or toss in the trash anyways. It felt so good to take an overflowing truckload of stuff to donate.Did not do much scavenging, but I did stop by one yard sale on the way to the post office Saturday and bought a Vitamix with accessories for $60. It is a hard to find color and I have it listed for $250. Once upon a time I would have kept this for myself, but my nutrininja gets the job done just fine.
Wow that’s an awesome change! Has it been easy to maintain?
For success, some people are moderators and some are abstainers. I know I am an abstainer. There are just so many things I simply won’t ever partake in again. I gave up sweetened drinks 2.5 years ago and never went back even after gaining back a bunch of weight. I’ve added a bunch more things to that list now, and because I never caved on those sweetened drinks I know I can do it permanently.
Moderation simply doesn’t work for me.

It’s still sitting because $6500 is way too much.To be honest, paying $2-3k would be very generous.
Well all I can tell you is that at some point you WILL come across something you need to do on ebay that simply CANNOT be done on a tablet and requires a desktop. It happened enough that I abandoned using the ipad for ebay.
You aren’t the first person to want to run the whole business off a tablet.
I found that an ipad just didn’t do as good of a job as a laptop. The mobile app is lacking and using the main ebay website on the tablet seemed considerably slower than a desktop/laptop.
You could always look at the windows 10 hybrids. We just got one here at work and it is pretty slick.
