I framed my first sale invoice. When my phone went off I was so excited and confused on what to do next. I started messaging the buyer to tell him thank you and to update tracking every step of the way. I must have annoyed him to death. Congrats! List more, sell more.
My Samsung was recalled also. I just opted to have them reinforce it. They came and fixed it pretty quickly. Works just fine and it now has another year warranty on it.

Nice sale. I love when they just pay the asking price without an offer. I find I have less issues with customers like this. Congrats
I use at least 3 photos as a rule. Even something like a pin or coin gets a front, back and I’ll take a photo of any wear that needs it or I’ll throw a ruler next to it to get a third.
Most things need more than 3 in my experience but I have sold many thousands of items and have only used all 12 photos maybe 15 times. Only on very high value items if they need it.
Cassini is a search algorithm and does exist, but I don’t put too much stock into trying to trick it. Ebay wants you to sell stuff. That’s their business model. Follow the rules and use common sense and you’ll be fine generally.

It would then be All Categories> Men’s Clothing> Shirts
I could be wrong but it looks like you are trying to add subcategories into subcategories. The parent category would be clothing. Try making the main category men’s clothes instead of clothing. Then add subcategories (shirts, pants) to that category.

The second option unfortunately. No guarantee that it would work. I don’t see why it wouldn’t though.
Curious on what the error actually says if you could cut and paste it.
I would select all the items I wanted to categorize and bulk move them to an “other ” category temporarily. A completely different one. Not a subcategory. That way you wouldn’t get an error for anything already being in a category you were trying to edit. Then move them from the temporary category into the one you want.
Try it small scale first. Try it with 10 listings.
Sometimes I get an error if I try to create a category twice or if I try to create a parent category in a subcategory. Assuming that’s not what you’re talking about, you can bulk edit 500 listing at a time. Select all of them, click edit fields >categories>store categories>change to. Then change them into a random category and submit. That will ensure that none are in the clothing categories. Then just do what you were doing and edit each category.
Could be an Austrian Christmas painting. Looks like Krampus on the left.

01/30/2017 at 1:12 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 295: The Challenges of Changing Your Strategy #11395I would be very interested in a way to export listings. I do the “SD Card/Folder” method of listing at the moment. I would love to let go of the archives but I just can’t pull the trigger. It has saved my butt on a few occasions. For instance, I have meant to hit sell similar on one of my listings to list another like it, but hit revise without knowing it and changed the entire listing. I didn’t realize until after I published it. It was a quick fix because I already had all the other photos and info from the original listing on my hard drives. I can’t help feeling that if eBay glitched or deleted hundreds of listings for some reason it would be a real nightmare…

Technically not supposed to, but I can order perfume from Amazon and have it here by Thursday so…it should be fine. Triple bag it.

The rest of them, either bundle or sell locally. Or piece them out and wait. You only have to sell 2 or 3 to make back that $50. After that it’s gravy.
01/22/2017 at 3:07 pm in reply to: Question on selling vtg records (using the new Scavenger Life clothing method) #10856Anytime I get a huge lot of something I just try to take a step back and not take it so seriously. Sell it like anything else. You’re not a record seller, you’re a seller who sells records. Its just part of your inventory.
All the advice out of the way…I’m completely jealous. If they only sold for $10 plus shipping on average…that’s $5,000. Even if it takes you a month or two to list, that’s still awesome.
01/22/2017 at 2:44 pm in reply to: Question on selling vtg records (using the new Scavenger Life clothing method) #10852With 500 records I would take a little time and research sold listings to see what vinyl sellers are specifically putting in their listings. Also you might want to test the ones with heavier scratches.
I have only sold 25 give or take. I do not grade them. I use words like “fair” & “good” so they know I’m not an expert and to expect some wear. All the self grading (VG, G+ etc.) is just as subjective in my opinion. “There is wear throughout from use including some light(or heavy) scratches and scuffs. It has been tested and plays great”.
These are FRAGILE, so invest in good boxes and come up with a shipping method that works for you before selling a higher priced one.
