That makes total sense but I wasn’t asking for the forum to start having buying/selling posts there’s enough selling sites for that.
I was asking do you share your actual selling page on this site or do you just discuss items you have found and ways to improve your business?
I’ve not had time yet to fully navigate the site and have only had a brief look around so far so that’s why I was asking about sellers pages.
Hope I haven’t rocked the boat or caused any tension as that is not my intention, I only came here by accident while answering a question related to my hobby.
Regards
Cheers Jay
The vintage north face market is also awash with counterfeits that some sellers are not even aware of, I’ve had numerous encounters with sellers who would not believe an item is fake. If anyone ever needs a legit check I can help with that.
I forgot to ask one thing though, do you have a list or database of sellers on here that I can view with regards to purchasing items? I’ve not fully navigated the site yet and am just reading a few threads at the moment.
Now then Jay
Well to be honest with you I originally joined just to answer a question I came across when searching for vintage north face.
I just like helping people and the question that I was answering was related to my hobby of collecting vintage north face gear so I thought I’d help out, I also like a bit of scavenging too so it was killing 2 birds with one stone really.
I also like to see things that people have found, it brings back memories of when the north face produced some great designs.
And to answer your questions I live in the UK in quite a barren mountainous area so back in the 90s I got my first gore tex “Mountain Jacket” (which I still own) to use while out trekking the peaks.
After getting that first jacket I picked up more gear and it just continued over the years, I tend to prefer the “Made in the USA” items that the North Face made as they seem to be very high quality too.
And with regards to what I do with them well I usually restore them and keep for myself (I’m a bit of a hoarder) if some don’t fit me or I may sell them on for a fair price.
Excuse the long post haha I don’t half waffle on…
Regards
Mr H
Hi Sonia,
I love sharing knowledge and learning new stuff with regards to vintage north face, I have been collecting vintage gear for about 20 years now so I know a bit but I am always still learning new things too.
The North Face produced that many styles and different labels that its hard to keep up with them all, I’m still discovering new info all the time about one of my favourite outdoor brands.
With regards to the hole thing I’m not too sure why they did that, there will be a reason why as the north face tend to be quite clever and innovative with their designs. Again I’m always learning new things but I’ll ask a few people what they know about it.
Are you looking to sell your apogee at some point? If so give me a shout whenever you put it on your selected selling site, as I’m always looking to add to my collection.
Regards
Mr H
