I buy and sell stamps on eBay and HipStamp.
Not much after 1930 is rare in the stamp world, but there are a few exceptions. Too many people saved them. Generally the catalog value of mint US stamps after 1940 or so is 2x Face, but you will never sell them for that. That is the Retail Price to buy them from Dealers for their work.
Search for “Discount Postage” under the stamp category. For anything less than 20c stamps you probably won’t get 50% of face since it takes too many to use on a letter these days. I usually buy all my postage on eBay at 70% of face and that is for 2-3 stamp combinations of 55c. I use that to mail stamps inside small envelopes at the 1st Class Rate.
I suggest using them on your own mail, so you will get the full 100% face.
World Wide just means a lot has a mixture of non-US countries. Generally people collect their country or other countries. Some collect World Wide but it isn’t as common anymore.

Totally agree if you have to manually edit them.
However you can train GDBK to do it automatically in many cases. That’s what I was able to do, but I’m not on MP yet but I get orders from another online site that has a similar issue. I get dozens of orders a week and don’t have to edit them. If that doesn’t work, then yea I don’t think I would use GDBK either.

But why not just make the shipping income an income item, and the shipping charges an expense item in GDBK? Then it all washes out in the end. Does it matter that you never actually received the money into your account?

It depends how you purchase your shipping.
eBay can show the cost the customer paid for the item plus shipping. You need to subtract out of that what you actually paid. I don’t track per item as it would get too difficult to determine. Rather I use Paypal to sum up the shipping paid per month, and then my credit card statement for any shipping paid at the PO. I keep a spreadsheet showing those total per month and subtract that as part of expenses for my business. There are software solutions that can automate this somewhat better that I may use going forward.

Why are they even open then?
In CA the PO’s are open and I dropped off packages, but try to avoid the windows by putting the postage on myself. We have been under similar lockdown to only essential travel for several weeks now. Don’t know if MD is different or more strict however.
Sounds more like a rumor to me. There are tons of those these days that are just plain wrong.
MikeIf you are having trouble using the bulk editor to modify these new required fields, I suggest you try the “File Exchange” method to update your listings. Basically you use a .csv formated spreadsheet where you download a file of your items then modify the fields using excel or similar program and upload the modified file. I’ve been using that to list and have found it is easy to list a lot of similar items. In this case I think it would help you. Just be careful because with great power comes great responsibility. Yes, photos with an Iphone is so much better and faster! I did what you are doing but found the same problems with the eBay Mobile app. I have since moved to taking pictures with my Iphone and saving them to my Google drive. You can use any such service that’s accessible from your phone and computer. Then I list on my laptop and upload the photos saved on google drive to ebay. Best of both worlds.

Thanks for that info. I’ll be careful to double check everything on the computer first.
I do sell very particular types of stamps, but there are other similar lots out there. I guess I just like the ease of entering everything especially the photos for books. Stamps themselves I usually scan due to their small size.
