Any word on where Wonderlister is at on the export to Etsy?
I accidently asked T-Satt below, but you are the one that does the Beta testing for them and in the loop.

Ryanne: Yes, the shoes were new in the box as crazy as that may seem. I think the fact the they say “IRREGULAR” probably turned him off from wearing them. But that can mean anything.
Just when I thought it was crazy to find shoes from the 60’s still new, 8 days after I found the converse shoes I found another new pair of shoes from the 60’s. They weren’t nearly as cool as the converse, but they were Brown Leather Golf Shoes with metal spike from the late 60’s or early 70’s. Haven’t been able to pin that down, but based on the fact they were made by Sears and approved by Billy Casper – his career was in that timeframe. Also, I have found other shoes from the 60’s, not new but in excellent condition, so they are out there.
I learned a lot when researching for the converse shoes, here are some good posts that I will share. Not all exciting, but great information. The 50-things-you-didnt-know was the easiest read:

simplicio: No, I didn’t have a search out for these. I just check the garage sales in my area when I am working from home and this popped up. I thought it was a long shot for them to be there for over 3 hours, but they were.

Number of items listed this week: 17My wife woke me up Saturday morning about 5:30AM to tell me that the Converse All Star Shoes had sold for full price for $850. Someone in Japan had bought them. I heard about these online for a garage sale. The sale started at 9AM and I got there around 12:30PM on my lunch break so I thought they would be gone, but they were still there. The guy’s dad had bought them for him when he was a kid in the 1960’s and he never wore them. After some barginning, I bought them for $52.50. I knew
these were something special so I listed them for $650. Got an offer for $250 within an hour of listing them. I knew right then these would sell high so I raised the price to $850. It only took 11 days for them to sell. Below is the link to them:http://www.ebay.com/itm/332399738315
Even without the Converse sale, it was shaping up to be a great week with about $800 in sales. So I would say that at least for me, the busy season is in full swing.

Number of items listed this week: 0Typical week for sales. However, sales have actually picked up and today seemed like the busy season to me. I had 7 items to pack today and it felt good! It would help if I could get to listing more items per week.
Went crazy at the Rummmage sales this week. Found a 1920’s Typewriter for $10 and can get close to $200. Got a great EB jacket and Nike Zoom Skates. Probably got $1300 or so worth of items for $75. Got a few more Rummage sales this week that will close out the year for the big sales. Got some crazy great prices at an estate sale near work. They were practically giving it away. Came away with a lot of great items on the dirt cheap! I don’t usually buy suits, but I found a Jos. A. Banks Signature Gold suit for $8 at a church Thrift shop. On ebay they sell for well over $100 and they say retail is $1295. I will see how that sells and if I will buy any more.
Sold a Halloween costume today and some Christmas stocking yesterday, so I’m in the Holiday spirit. My make up sales continue and I’m loving that. The make up is the best thing I’ve ever bought to sell on ebay. If you recall, I got $8000 – $9000 of make up for $150 last April. It is compact to store, sells fast, sells for a good price, there are many multiples (had 54 listings with 633 total items), easy to ship, and I usually make money on the shipping. What is not to love about that!

I am in the Ann Arbor area of Michigan – GO BLUE!
There are two distinct times for Rummage Sales here: April and October. There are obviously others but this is when the majority of them take place. I am part time also, but I like to have a good inventory of items to list so that I can scale up easily when I want to. The Rummage sales are my favorite sales, I get things for like $.46 and then sell them for sometimes as much as a $100. You get crazy deals on items that people think are junk, but they are really cool vintage items. Sometimes I think I could source all my items from just rummage sales, but estate sales have great items too, you just have to pay up more for them.

I’m in Michigan, so the same here – garage sales are dying out and should mostly be gone by mid October. However, Rummage sale season is now upon me. Isn’t this Rummage sale season in Ohio? Sometimes you have to dig to find them, but the rummage sales are usually out there. I always find great stuff for super cheap at the Rummage sales.

I have a similar experience when I go to the garage sale of this baseball card dealer. “Don’t buy baseball cards from a baseball card dealer” I tell myself because you can never win at that game.
So, I always look for things he doesn’t know much about and always get something good.

“My Name Is Inigo Montoya, You Found My Estate Sale, Prepare To Buy!” What a great play on those famous words. I saw this movie at the theater in 1987 when it came out. It has been a favorite movie of my wife and I for some time. We always quote this movie, so that was particularly funny – had to tell my wife.

Oh, I see now that this was mentioned in the 3rd paragraph attached to this podcast. It just hit home with me because of the Wonder Lister issue related to this that I would not have thought of.
Wonder Lister Alert!!!
I got an email from ebay yesterday stating “Immediate action required. Remove active content and/or contact information from your listings”. This was for 1968 of my 2100 listings. I don’t have any contact information in my listings and I don’t have any active content so I wondered what this could be talking about. I took a look at one of the listings they mentioned and saw the Wonder Lister logo and url and then it struck me that is what they meant.
I called ebay, they said yes, that is it. If you don’t remove the logo, all 1968 listings will be taken down 7 days from the day of the email. I said I can’t do all these by hand, so they gave me Wonder Lister’s phone number. I called them today and they confirmed. So, what I had to do was download the current version of Wonder Lister – version 2.00.25. Then you have to highlight all of your listings and then right click. Select “Remove Wonderlister Logo” and then kick it off. It takes about 3 seconds per listing.
So, if you use Wonder Lister, jump on this or your listings may be taken down.

Brian – yes, I could have tried that. Two reasons I didn’t: 1. These were shoes I don’t usually see and I wanted to research some of them. 2. If I bought the first day, I would keep with wondering if I could have done better on the last day.
