Thanks Mike & Susan…helpful.
Jay & Ryanne I know you guys always talk about just extending the handling time when you go out of town, but why not just use eBay’s vacation settings to let everyone know there will be a delay in shipping to them their purchase? Does changing the handling time affect your rating as a “top seller” or what have you ( i think you need to have it as 1 or same day to achieve “top seller” status)?
02/27/2017 at 1:13 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 299: What Control Do We Have as eBay Sellers? #13450No, that’s the thing…I pay for shipping – free shipping. I have two stores and this is on my store where I sell the same 20 or so items over and over…it’s home decor stuff that I get at wholesale. To compete I offer free shipping on all the items in this store, so it kind of stung to have to pay $8 more today. Only reason I can figure is that is it is because it is a P.O. Box, since I have shipped this item to this part of the country before for less.

I had to ship an item yesterday for the first time to a P.O. Box and it was about $8 more in shipping costs than it typically would cost me. Is there a setting in eBay to specify that you will not ship to P.O. Boxes?

Should I ship to the address they are requesting versus what shows up in eBay for them? Thanks. -LoveJam

01/30/2017 at 6:08 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 295: The Challenges of Changing Your Strategy #11433Lovejam here again. I’ve encountered a shipping challenge that I’m hoping the community can help me out with…I sell a larger item, that an international buyer wants to purchase 5 of. I am used to shipping just 1 of this item and so I am unsure of how to go about shipping when it means I will have to use 2-3 boxes to fulfill this order…the items are just to large to shove into one single box. So how do you let eBay know you will be shipping with multiple boxes and thus also will need multiple shipping labels I suppose?
01/18/2017 at 1:21 am in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 293: How To Hire Your First Employee #10600Hey guys can anyone help me with this…is there any way to add additional images to an active listing that you already have sales on? eBay seems to say no, which seems lame. Do I have to end the listing and relist to be able to add an extra picture or two? I hate to lose all the watchers on this item, but I think these extra images would be super helpful to interested buyers.

Who woulda thought?! Question for you after having visited your ebay staore…for your graded trading cards, do you have a service you would recommend for getting my cards graded? also, what do you use these days for pricing of trading cards? back in the day I used to use my trusty Beckett Pricing Guide, but i’ve been out of the game for some time now. Thanks, Matt
Thanks for the feedback imjosh.
-LoveJamHi guys, can someone tell me…if I offer free shipping on something, someone places an order, and then they ask about getting it there in an expedited fashion and I have it set for FedEx Smartpost…can I offer them to pay for expedited shipping? Is there a way for them to send me additional funds for shipping after the sale has already been made?
