thanks for the info… I’ve looked at a bunch of Rosenthal and don’t see it exactly… close though…. still searching… I need closure!
07/05/2018 at 10:24 am in reply to: Crystal cocktail glass etched manufacturer ID…. who made this? #44512Since I’m retired, it’s not “my” industry anymore, which is nice from an employee perspective, because once they go private, about thirty thousand people would immediately be working for the new, non-government business, and thereby lose the government pension, security, vacation and seniority they’ve been promised and working toward. I know that’d frost me. Be a bunch of p.o.’d controllers for a few years.
Just like everything else, privatization has its good and bad…. prob way more efficient, because there is a lot of waste now, but a private company is always being squeezed to save money and trim workers’ hours, etc…. operating minimum staffed with old, crappy equipment doesn’t sound like the radar room I want working my airplane at 30 thousand feet. You’ll get one guy in the tower when you need two. Stuff like that.
Was a great job for many years, seemingly different every day, but it gets to be the same-ish, too… turn left, turn right, climb, descend….. what time do I get off?
Ya got two things going there, Jay….. one says the key is ordering the words, the other says that as long as they’re all there you’re good to go….. I’m not sure which it is, myself… I’d go with the second idea, as long as all the relevant words are in the title, whatever order….
is the thought that ordering relevant words a certain way is better / necessary because it feels better to the shopper when reading it, or does it affect the way ebay looks at it when searching? Or both?

I thought it must be much more important than a carrier, but it’d sure work great for that….
I think I lean towards your call, Ryanne, felt medicalish to me, too….. all the sides velcro in place, can open and lay virtually flat…. it’d be one dang fancy lunchbox….. seems too extravagant to be a one-off, and no company id either…. still guessing!

That’s a start! If not grocery bags maybe still along the line of what you suggest, just some sort of carry handle….. in my head I had it all lined up to be part of a bigger item…. From the color and “feel” of the plastic, it reminds me of what baby product companies (fisher price etc) use for their stuff, super smooth, pastel, way heavier than it needs to be….
Hi folks, dig the new forum and ideas, couple suggestions from my side…. forum font is kinda skinny and light, looks sketchy, like a printer running low on ink…. also too much scrolling in the forum to see the posts, the current setup is like each post is a whole “card” even if it’s just a few words, and only two cards or so fit on a page and that = lotsa scrolling to get through the posts, I’d tighten it up and don’t worry as much about pretty or fancy, it’s data, words…. save fancy for the rest of your site!
You guys have had a great podcast for a long time…. Jay, businesswise we think almost identical, practical…. Ryanne…. I’m scouting around for some Shipping Nerds Unite t-shirts….. keep up the great work… good luck with and congrats on expanding the estate!
Okay, off to cleaning the garage and listening to the new podcast….
zman….. cool stuff network
