I got this in an auction lot of brass and other metal items. It has a center hole that I believe would be for installation with the other holes decorative. It is curved and has some height. If you installed it as a door knob or drawer pull, the screw would be visible and that doesn’t make sense. So, I can’t figure out what it is for. I called it an architectural detail.

It looks like it’s possibly a corner to something. You may want to consider removing the commas and the word or from your title. You have 80 characters that you can use in your title. You should use it all. Every time. Fill it up with good, relevant keywords in an order that makes sense to the reader. NOT a bunch of keywords thrown together. The title and the gallery picture are what need to draw in your customer. Think outside the box. Who would want this and what could you use it for? Look at the shape of the item. Add in those extra words to fill up your title. No need to put any punctuation marks. When I see this piece I think:
Corner
Shell
Brass
Vintage
Hardware
Furniture
Bed
Chair
Art Deco-

I don’t have any insight to what this is, but I agree that you should always leave out any punctuation in the title. The key is ordering the words so it’s readable.
“Keyword stuffing” is a spammy word, but as long as all the keywords are relevant, that’s basically what you need to do. What terms do you think someone may use to find this item? Louis Jane made good suggestions.

Ya got two things going there, Jay….. one says the key is ordering the words, the other says that as long as they’re all there you’re good to go….. I’m not sure which it is, myself… I’d go with the second idea, as long as all the relevant words are in the title, whatever order….
is the thought that ordering relevant words a certain way is better / necessary because it feels better to the shopper when reading it, or does it affect the way ebay looks at it when searching? Or both?

Thanks so much for the suggested words! It could be for a corner, or something curvy. Interestingly, it got a good number of views over night. Much more than other items I post. I just updated it with a better title.
Yeh, I know the title was sub-par. In general, I don’t use commas or connector words in my titles, but I wanted to list it quickly so that I could ask my question. I hadn’t even looked through the photos. I don’t have an account on Imur or anything similar, so listing it was the easiest way I could show you what I had and get to bed on time!!

I’m no expert, but my best guess is that it may be some sort of decorative cap for a lamp shade. I’m thinking lamp underneath the curve, and some sort of screw-on nut above to keep everything together.
It doesn’t appear to show much/any signs of wear or having been a movable piece, so I would think that doorknob, or anything similar is unlikely.
