Knowing eBay they would go overboard and ANYONE using a stock photo would get swept up in it. I sometimes use them in the post, but it’s not the primary picture.
That is really neat, and I love that idea of hanging pictures with those.
Late to the game – but I have sold a lot of items that have flaws like that and as long as you show it there isn’t a problem. Some of my items had pretty significant, but not damaging, scalding marks but it still sold for a good price. If someone was to put up a dish that was 5/10 years old with marks I would say no way, but when it has age people expect flaws. I just wash off the dirt or gunk that I can and make sure I get a good picture.
4 for me – but I’m getting stuff ready for a yard sale on Saturday and just reorganizing how I process everything. I hope you are feeling better!
Happy Birthday Ryanne! We are about the same age and I had the exact same reaction to the Cosmos opening sequence. OH Lord I went into some weird crisis or panic of being nothing and meaningless. I am also claustrophobic and agoraphobic so that seemed to switch some weird panic knowing how we are like an atom compared to the universe. It was just wayyyy too much. LOL
Thank You so much for this detailed information! It is really helpful. I’m still a baby compared to everyone and it can get a bit overwhelming sometimes. It’s hard to decide where to start and I also worry about selling something for too little money.
8 for this past week and I’m going to already say 0 for the next two. I’m going to be out of town so I won’t have any listing done.
Thank you for letting me know this!! It will certainly be much easier to do and I really didn’t want to just take everything down.
Just curious if Etsy is one of those places you have to send your items like a present, like bows and all that stuff. I take care of my items on ebay, but I don’t have time to sit and wrap stuff in pretty paper etc.
Yikes! I will have to watch that. I don’t think I will get to 10k anytime soon.
I don’t mind waiting a bit to get a good price, I just wasn’t sure if it would just sit forever. I might go ahead and make the jump for some of my items. Any tips?
7x7x6 – I try to use the priority boxes as much as possible, because free, but I don’t often have anything that small.
Of course these are the ones that have “ebay” on them! LOL I did some how end up with three rolls of “priority mail” stickers. I did order one but over the last month three showed up.
I know it is completely irrational, but I am just spooked. For one thing, even though we all got refunded, there is a part of me that is disappointed that the item was just trashed. I spent time researching and shipping etc and then it’s gone. This might also be because this item was one of my first big finds. Not big by your standards, but the first item I stumbled across by accident. The person ended up giving me a neutral feedback because it was held at customs. eBay removed the feedback without me even asking. Like I said, I’m being completely unreasonable (which I know) but I am going to attempt it again.
I am scared to go to GSP on items because the only item I shipped got caught by customs b/c in the post I said it had mother of pearl inlay. They were right to stop it, but now I’m scared I might try to sell something on the “no no” list again and I haven’t taken the time to figure out if there is one master list or do I have to check every country before I put it on GSP. I am sure I am making it out to be much more difficult than it really is, but still don’t need another one getting taken.
