I can’t watch and work, but I enjoyed (totally binge watched) Ozark on Netflix.
Currently looking for new non-news podcasts if anyone has any recommendations. I seem to have turned into a news junkie lately, so I’m trying to dial it down. I liked Serial and S-town, and I love this American Life.

To cancel, go to your sold items and choose <more actions> on the right hand side of the item. Next, choose cancel in the drop down menu. It should then ask you to choose the reason for cancelling.
Wow, auto adding? Nearly new is a very subjective term. It can mean different things to different people. The word ‘New’ can be like that too. If an item is sealed but has been sitting around in someones garage for 12 years it is not new, maybe unused, but it is still 12 years old. I see listings like this all the time on Ebay and I feel it is misleading. I like ‘New-Other’ better since the seller can then explain the lack of a box, new – old stock, or whatever. Unfortunately, it is not an option in all categories.
Right there with you Retired Treasures. We have had 3 deaths in our family in the last year. Two were completely unexpected and now, in addition to the grief, our family is contending with the stuff that our loved ones thought they had time to pare down. It never occurred to us that all of this could happen at once, but it has. So, I guess we fit your scenario – times 3! Overwhelming? You bet!
Indeed, everything has a story, and hopefully family members who have a connection to something will want to take it. If not, it must be donated or sold because it is just too much weighing us down. It helps to remember that it really is the memory we want to keep and that can happen without the physical item. But it’s still hard.
I am pretty minimalist anyway, but this experience has given me even more motivation to make sure my children are not burdened with mountains of stuff and complicated finances when I die.

This is definitely a huge subject, but I would say the first step is to get a very clear, realistic picture of where you are now. Exactly how much is coming in and from where and how much is going out and where its going. This usually involves writing everything down, even expenditures of pocket change. Tracking for at least several weeks or more for a clear picture.
After you have all of this incredibly valuable knowledge, you can look for ways to cut out unnecessary spending so you can save your safety net, grow your business & follow your plan. This really boils down to one choice at a time. Need or want? Save or spend? There are big ways to cut expenses, like refinancing a mortgage to a lower rate, and smaller everyday things that really add up, like eating less meat and more beans. I think the word budget sounds rigid, like the worst diet in the world, but it’s really just setting goals and making those choices that keep your money working for you.
Finally, here are some smaller things I recommend, and then I’ll shut up:
cut out cable tv and get net flicks (put the amount you saved in savings)
don’t buy bottled water, get a filter (put in savings)
decrease or cut out eating out (put in savings)
practice saying no to the kids (put in savings)
If you get a raise at work …(put it in savings)
read everything you can on the subject, listen to podcasts, watch finance showsYou can do this! I’m rooting for you!
Googled this because I have a link to a site for Japanese porcelain marks, so I know these sites are out there. At this one, the first link seems to be dead but the 2nd one works and looks helpful. I did not check the others. Good luck, the FB group sounds helpful too- who knows, maybe a collector there may want to buy!

Wow, good job Beth! You sold 1/4 of your inventory! Would you mind sharing what kinds of things you consider to be sure things? I’m thinking of trying a few auctions to weed stuff out.
This may be stating the obvious, but there are a lot of translation sites where you can look up the words on the pins. Also, Google images could help. One often overlooked source is your local reference librarians. They can often point you to great sources. Good luck, sounds like fun!
