Not sure. Its much different kind of business than what we do. Its commodity items that everyone sells. Honestly doesnt look like they did any branding. Just a generic photo of a young couple wearing sunglasses.
Have you seen how much other people sell these glasses? Assume there are lots of chinese sellers that will be competition.
And as a Scavenger, I’d be remiss not to point out that if they’re asking $4500, maybe they’ll take $3000 🙂
Unless you sell iPhones or electronics, I find everyone has been honest on Facebook and Craigslist. We can usually tell who’s going to be an issue just based on how they communicate online. If they cant string together sentences properly, we just stop communicating.
Welcome Marty. It’s smart to not hoard inventory if yo’;re not ready to sell. But it sounds like you may have a comic book collection you may one day sell?
Ethiopian is the light roast. Southern Split is the blend that is the smoothest.
I dont think its crazy if you’re smart about it. We sold a window a couple weeks ago on Facebook. I propped it up in our driveway against my truck. When the people came, I stood on the porch 20 feet away and told them to look it over. I told them to put their cash in a plastic container nearby. I put the container in storage for a week before I touched the cash.
Also depends on your location. We have six official cases in our county. If I lived in the NorthEast where there are hundreds of thousands of cases, I’d be less likely to get near strangers.
Yeah, Ryanne going to bring her shipping expertise to the business. Glad you got it quick.
Makes sense. It has incredible potential because all you do is come up with the ideas and then let Amazon do the printing. I remember when you guys sold a bunch of shirts once when you came up with a funny design after some sports event.
Do other shirt sellers copy you if you have a design that seems popular? That would be my biggest concern since the bar to entry is so low.

You guys all make our life interesting as well. We were all “stay at home to work” before it was cool.
You had a na amazing week. Goes to show that it helps having a big inventory because you never know when people will pull the trigger on weird purchases for a lot of money.
The brain tumor is horrible news, but it was great it was removed with no complication. Amazing.
Yes, having an emergency fund makes me sleep well at night. Six months is our goal.
We havent seen an uptick of this behavior, but we have had the same kind of buyers furious they must pay for shipping. I think its the “amazon effect” where buyers think free shipping is normal.
Obviously Amazon sellers can offer free shipping because they work that cost into their price. Nothing is ever free 🙂
So did you guys make consistent income with :print on demand” with Amazon?
Isn’t this where you guys think of funny t-shirts when things happen in the news to capitalize on its popularity? Is it that easy?
When we cant figure out a thing;suse, we just call it “decorative”.
Hope you guys had a great trip away from home. I remember when you were deciding what to do with your store when you were gone. That’s incredibly frustrating you have to relist 1900 items from scratch.
We use Inkfrog as our backup. It’s web based so no need to maintain your own database. It syncs with our eBay store and keeps everything. Its great when we need to go find an old listing: has photos and everything. I think its $10/month.
