“Bring your boat cabin on a quiet bay” already sounds like a great vacation rental to me.
I’m reading the product description here https://store.amplifi.com/products/amplifi-hd-meshpoint which says:
“Pair the MeshPoint with the AmpliFi™ Router to expand the coverage of an AmpliFi™ network or turn an existing router into a powerful mesh network.”
I’m wondering if I can just get the Amplifi HD mesh point instead of the complete system with the router. (I already have a router.)
I probably would just put them on my personal “black-list” instead writing a bad review. I feel this is what Jay & Ryanne might do too.
I don’t provide linens & towels myself. My property management company does (of course I’m footing the bill). So, I’m not sure how my PM would do in that case. We’ll know one day when it happens to us.
Wi-Fi coverage
Jay & Ryanne, in one episode you mentioned that your guest did something to your Wi-Fi system to make it work better. Can you please share what exactly he did? Did you get any additional hardware to extend your Wi-Fi coverage to the writer’s cabin? Thanks!
So many things I want to talk (or more like I want to ask you guys) about. Currently I’m still trying to re-furnishing my place. I’m trolling the Kijiji (like Canadian Craigslist) for good quality furnitures. Any advice on that? List of brand names? I was so jealous about Ryanne’s $20 West Elm bed! That’s basically FREE! The other day I bought a good quality solid reclaimed wood queen bed for $300. I have three more IKEA beds I’d like to switch out when I find good ones to replace them.
Talking about IKEA, you two mentioned not once in your show about IKEA stuffs being lower quality which I 100% agree. But I do see a couple of IKEA items in your rental properties. Is there a Jay & Ryanne “approved” list of IKEA furnitures you can share here?
I learned the word “glamping” in that podcast. I guess different OTAs would fit different types of “properties” better. So far I’m also only on Airbnb.
I love the show to death! Learned so much! I understand it’s a big time commitment thing. I was surprised to learn you we’re doing two podcast shows at the same time. Maybe just do a quarterly “shampoo & booze” show to keep your fans entertained while documenting your ongoing journey. I really want to hear the progress of your two new rentals.
