Cool dog vase. This is definitely not a genuine pre-columbian piece. It looks like red clay that was antiqued with iron oxide or some clay slip before being fired. My guess is for sure it was made 1940’s or later. Good luck with the listing and sale!
Hi Christine,
It’s a nice print. His most popular designs seem to be the little angelic looking kids. I would think $100 would be about the most you would get and you may only get half of that. Does it have a date of the printing, is it a lithograph and is it an original signature? Those things would make it more valuable.
There is stil a Degrazia gallery here in Tucson churning out artwork and keeping his legend alive. I think the market is flooded with Degrazias!
When I am out scavenging I come across so much Ted DeGrazi stuff it’s crazy. I even saw an original signed degrazia oil painting at a thrift store here. I’m from Tucson, home of Ted deGrazia and his art is prolific here.
Funny story… my parents got married at his Chapel in the catalina foothills of Tucson. My dad traded him a large bottle of Royal Crown whiskey for use of the chapel. My mom was pregnant with me so I guess I was there?
Are you looking for the value of something or just showing off this sale on worthpoint? I’m good at knowing what of his is worth $ and what is not…

To me this looks like an imitation navajo rug. It’s similar but not quite the right pattern and the dyes are not natural plant dyes like a true navajo.
It doesn’t look like a mexican serape rug either though. Those usually have fringe and are part or all cotton.
IDK but I bet someone will want it.
Jay, You make a good point and I agree that money was left on the table. I guess it’s about context in this case. All of those auction items came from my bro-in-law when he moved. He was fine with me auctioning off his stuff and paying him out quickly. It was a consignment deal. It was a “fast nickle” move for sure.
Besides that, those pans were in rough condition!
Good discussion. I am in the “auction it first” camp. I often list unusual or rare item at auction for 1 or 2 weeks before doing a buy it now price. The majority of auctions do not get a bid, but enough do that it is worthwhile and moves inventory quickly which I consider a win.
Here are the items that sold at auction for me in the last month +/-
Thanks for sharing your dreams everyone! It’s interesting to see which parts of this business come into peoples psyche.
rescuedrelics – I have lived close to the UofA since highschool and remember being shocked when I was able to sell a few abandoned textbooks for $50. I dont’ dumpster dive much anymore, but I will still pull over frequently to check out piles of stuff left on the curb by ungrateful college kids!
Hi, I’m glad to see someone else from Tucson on here! I just made my first post on here this morning. We keep chickens, gardens and some fruit trees also. I have stopped shopping at Goodwill altogether as everything seems to expensive to resell. The Goodwill outlet is worth it though if you are willing to put up with the chaotic scene and compete when those sheets get pulled off the bins. Speedway Outlet is my fav thrift store.
