Weird but you did thing the right thing. Ebay becomes zen just follow the rules and most of the time you are golden.
Last month i pulled my patented bonehead move(since corrected process) and sent items to wrong buyers.
Believe me or not i sucked up apologized as if i just killed their grandmothers and asked them to ship the items directly to each other.
To do this i just reprinted labels with the correct addresses off Ebay took a very clear picture of the label and sent it through Ebay messages.
They printed the pics off and it freekin worked!
Now i just need to never do that again…….
Had a return go past it’s due date by a few days and called Ebay.The rep said they tried to close it and couldn’t because they are giving a grace period because of shambolic shipping issues with USPS etc….ie they may have sent it but tracking has not updated.
Called back a few days later and it was closed.Why they have a policy with a set date and don’t stick to i do not know.Oh yeah i know the new bend over code word “Covid”
I’ve tried the form and i feel it’s just another time saver for Ebay and you get a robo-denial.
I did manage to get a human on the line a couple weeks back and have a Neg and Nu removed.
I have 1900-100% and the Ebay reviewed it saw i did the right thing in the sale and basically said as a seller i’ve been very good at following the rules and the buyer was just being a grumpy A-hole(in so many words)
I was shocked and pleased.

Yes it seems to clear in his messages he is breaking the rules
Ebays policy states
“eBay will automatically remove feedback from a buyer who didn’t pay. However, if we missed something, sellers can contact us. Feedback may be removed when:
The buyer didn’t pay or respond to the unpaid item process
The buyer is suspended
The buyer’s communication in the Resolution Center undermines the purpose of the unpaid item process and feedback system”
After plugging his Ebay ID into this tool http://toolhaus.org/cgi-bin/negs which gives a historical feedback report it became clear what a tool the buyer is.This is high on my list of WTF? Ebay.
I had a guy(2700 buyer feedback) buy an item for a good best offer deal on Christmas.
My unpaid item assistant is set for 2 days.
Once the case opens he is indignent insulted and calling we an amatuer for not cancelling.
He paid at the 11hr on the 4th day and tells me he only bought it so he could neg me.
I will get it removed.
What i fantasized doing is sending him a box full of FU notes and asking him to return it!My tip for bubble wrap is to google a local Blind/Window treatment installer in your area.
My Guy”Bubble John” is swimming in clean large and small bubble and foam sheets.
He texts me when his garage is full and ethier i or my compadre go by with a 10$ gift card for Subway and it’s a win/win.
