The only resellers I ever had a problem with were people that snipe gaming items from stores. I used to collect video game stuff and every time stores were going to get limited quantities of something collectable the resellers would be first in line to buy up the store limit of that item.
It’s not fair to call resellers parasites. I know some people like seeing their items go directly to someone else who’s going to use it but that’s not always how life works.
Jay you are correct. I don’t know how I didn’t see the down arrow next to defect rate. I never clicked the arrow to expand the selection and go into full report.

Jul 13, 2017 18:20 Sketchers Lightweight Women’s ShoeTwo of those are legit my screw up. Two were unpaid items I just clicked out of stock on to clear out because I didn’t know to open a case for them. The under armor shoes sold and I must have listed the quantity as 2 because they sold again and i didn’t know the listing was active. I had a bunch of those Ipad screen protectors and sold one more than I actually had somehow.
So I guess this is half my fault actually.
AdventureE I might do that. Maybe they would bump the number down since 1 less TDR would put me back to top rated.
I have another dumb question. It says My defect rate is 4 of 179. What’s the 179 represent? It’s not my total shipped number of sales.
No the buyers never paid. They were old unpaid items. Good to know it will eventually drop off. It’s hard to find any info through eBay about it.
04/03/2018 at 10:12 am in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 354: The Long Game – 10 Years On eBay #36991I took the advice from the podcast and set up business policies. I should have been doing that from the start. I used to do no returns and a long handling time. I’ve been putting off fixing those listings for a while. Now it’s all set with one click.
Jawa trading co would be a cool company name.

I wouldn’t call it hyper competitive until your making offers on stuff in people’s carts. I check out what people have in their carts if they look like re-sellers out picking. Usually I won’t start a conversation though unless they do. Mostly I just want ideas for things I overlooked that would sell.
KatieScott That’s an awesome use for D&D. I never thought about it that way but D&D is one of the more social things I get my introverted self to do. As an adult it’s fun because it’s an excuse to get people over on a Friday night.
Is this a case of someone foolishly drunk clicking a high buy it now price and everyone else thinking their listing will get that price?
The D&D books are an awesome find. I used to love the artwork when they were still printed by TSR. I’ve got my players handbook from 2.0 advanced edition out in a tote bin somewhere. Hopefully you guys also got some campaign modules and maps. Those can worth more than the books because they came in paper boxes and got trashed pretty easily.
T-Satt Thanks for the help. I do a spreadsheet to keep track of what I have in each bin. I’ll just add a column for item cost and start tracking it.
A lot of people have solid numbers on what the cost of their items sold was. I’ve been trying to figure out how to do that. I tally up the money I spend on sourcing every month so I know what I spend monthly. I don’t keep a spread sheet of every item I have listed and what it cost me though. Is that how everyone knows their weekly COGS?

I didn’t have a problem with this quarters coupon but I didn’t have a balance to pay.
Look up what firmware version you have when you sell it. Home brew modders pay more for specific firmware versions.
