Correction to average price…it was 49 bucks…I wish it was 155 (Copy paste error)

Highest Price Sold: $109.99 (Burburry of London Trench Coat)
Average Price Sold: $155.28Solid week and lower COGS than normal. I am working on listing the death pile in my living room from the Ebay store liquidation I bought. I listed about 100 items since I bought it and made nearly $500 so far. Still have a lot to list.
Sold a baseball cap for 70 dollars….my best ever cap sale by far. It was a SF Giants, Oakland A’s split cap…very collectable and somewhat rare. Picked up for 2 dollars at GW.
Another cools thing, since buying the store from a woman, I have learned more about womens shoes…I never knew ballet flats we a thing…I went thrifting at my local Gooodwill and saw a pair of silver ballet flats, looked them up, they were “Tiegs”. Long story short, I sold them in less than an hour for 100 bucks…which was a steel. They had some wear on them. Who knew? Ballet flats.
Where do you source your inventory mostly?
I work full time in San Francisco. I sacrifice a lot of personal time to make this happen. Its not easy. But if it wasnt fun too, I would have a problem. Its pretty common way of life for a lot of people here. People have to have side gigs to make things happen. A lot of people Uber, for example. Good news is I bought our house at the bottom of the market and got a great interest rate. So our mortgage is unbelievable compared to the rents.

Average Price Sold: $41.37Well I had quite the day scavenging. A friend of a friend is a former Ebay seller who ended up moving to Texas. She was actually more of a buyer than a seller because she never made time to list. So over the years she acquired a very nice inventory of high end, shoes, Boots, and other collectibles. Well guess who just bought her store tonight? I paid her 3,000 cash from my Ebay profits. There is so much stuff I cant wrap my head around it all…I noticed a NWT Channel shirt, Salvatore Ferragamo, Frye Boots, Lots of other high end brands. About 200 pairs of shoes, 30 high end bags, Other misc collectibles. I am really excited. I will try to log all of the items and list what sells and document the whole thing. It will be fun to see when I pay off the investment and how much profit I make.
Just a fyi, some countries like France, Brazil, and other places will not accept items listed in the category of Boots. You have to change the category to shoes for it to work.
I paid 40 dollars for two pairs of shoes out of the glass case at Goodwill and sold them for $120 each, in three days….
Now this rarely happens this smoothly but it makes a point. Like was stated, COGS is relative…if you have the cash flow and knowledge to take the bigger gambles, you can do well….there is real money in people buying items for 100 dollars, 1000 dollars, and selling that item for 50% profit..it all depends. Just keep your eyes open. Dont just play it safe…try new things and always learn and experiment. Keep what works for you to fund your experiments…
BTW my biggest gamble/experiment is a pair of binoculars for 500. I ended up selling them for 700. It took several months. Was that a success? Maybe not but was a good learning experience.
