Thanks Jason for sharing the template. Adding the coupon is a nice idea.
I’m not sure if its a “good” idea or not, but at the moment eBay pretty much forces you to take returns even when you set no returns so I’d like it to be as pain free as possible.
$1600 is a great week with all things considered!
07/02/2022 at 8:54 pm in reply to: A sad day: local goodwills started individually pricing shoes #96844My Goodwill will do this depending on who’s the manager. 90% of resellers buy shoes so its an easy area for the Goodwill to squeeze. That’s why I am a proud student of “list it and forget it” and having a big store. Shoes only resellers will eventually get squeezed out by certain managers.
My community has several “free boxes” that I routinely pick for easy profits. I don’t know why people sit perfectly good items out instead of selling them but I won’t ask questions lol.
Glad to see you’re still killing it.
I’m glad you made merch because I do not like coffee lol.
His philosophy isn’t for me but I get it. Grind through $8 clothes, sell them, get the money back, do it again and again. Not for me. I’m somewhere in the middle between fast flip and list & forget leaning more towards list & forget because that’s what really changed my store for the better.
The ups and downs of a long tail store. 12 sales with 8000 in inventory is tough but I’m sure there will be weeks where you’re selling hundreds!
30 drafts so far this week, 10 live. Going over the listings twice to make sure nothing go auto-filled I didnt want filled. I hate when that happens. Also have about 55 in drafts on Mercari.
Agree with everything you said Craig. If you know how to buy right you can steal raw cards on eBay. I’ve bought cards that are $300 graded literally for $3 shipped raw. I’m more of a long term holder so I’m looking for older players who have second careers and are getting famous again now.
I know the retail packs are for suckers but I did pull two Burrow rookies out of a retail pack I found collecting dust in a small town. So you never know!
@NC its not about the face value cost, you have to factor in cost of labor/time too. Going to be a lot of work. I don’t know if that kind of inventory is going to turn around well enough to make it worth it.
Definitely don’t think that is worth $13k but thanks for the link!
$1400 on a week off is killing it! That’s why I’m sticking to following your large inventory method even though the new trend is flipping as much as possible without care for COGS or net profit.
For card guys, I’m finding hobby boxes of Panini back at Walmart again. Looks like the hype is over. If you believe in this rookie class the time to buy is now.
You end up with a lot of product that isn’t worth much at the bottom of those pallets. The good items can still make it worth it as long as you have a channel to get rid of the fluff.
