I had the same thing happen to me last week. I ordered a CAT6 ethernet cable. The arrival date came and went. I messaged the seller several times, and each time they stated they would ship it.
I opened a case with eBay and a few days later I got a full refund. Thanks! I’ll check it out.
Thanks Old Dad. I do have a business PP account. I will dig around and see what I can find in those reports.
I may bite the bullet and get Go Daddy Bookkeeping – the cost may be worth it as it will save me time, which will allow me to list more items!
Ok – thanks!
10/28/2019 at 12:23 pm in reply to: ONE pane of glass broke – expensive shipping – what do I do? Please help! #69678@Amatino – glad this worked out in the end. That is a very good idea to take pictures of the package as you pack, especially for expensive and fragile items.
It looks like it could be a cover for some kind of belt drive, like on a machine, or something like a motorcycle/mini bike. .
@SpartyQ – where/how did you get it? Any background on it at all?
@Jay – No one has asked me directly why I am buying the things I am buying, but some people make comments on specific things I’ve purchased and I know they are curious. I do agree with you that most people just want the stuff gone.
Just upgraded my personal PayPal account to business and was able to get the data I need.
Thanks! Thanks for that info. PayPal is says I need to update to a business account to get that information.
Just heard back from PayPal support. I am unable to view those reports/URLs because I have a personal PayPal account. They recommend I upgrade to a business account.
Thanks Jay – but my PayPal page does not have “downloads” and when I click the recommend URL in step 2), PayPal re-directs to https://business.paypal.com/merchantdata/consumerHome.
Do I need a business account or something like that in PayPal?
I am a very small part time seller on eBay and don’t necessarily need something as robust as GoDaddy Bookeeping.
Jay and Ryanne,
If you haven’t 100% decided on your inventory system, you might want to check out Lavendar Clothesline’s video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3z9Wb2ugv3k
At Around 10:00, she talks about how her system helps her find items that may be misplaced – and avoids the need for having to double-check SKUs.The list of eligible GSP countries is listed here: https://pages.ebay.com/seller-center/shipping/global-shipping-program.html#m17-2-tb1. Singapore is on the list.
In terms of shipping, once the package gets to Kentucky (assuming you sold it through the GSP), you are all set. From Kentucky to the final destination, GSP takes care of that.
What GSP does not take care of is buyer behavior. Like Sharyn said, they could potentially claim INAD, or something else.
There is discussion relating to this here: https://community.ebay.com/t5/Archive-Selling/INAD-case-opened-on-GSP-item-How-to-retrieve-item-shipped/td-p/20008796
As for the buyer’a reputation, look at all the other feedback they have received – if there is a pattern of bad reviews, then it might be best to decline. Is the one review the only bad one? How many reviews are good/bad?
Unless this item is only valuable to one person in Singapore (which it probably isn’t), you can decline knowing you will have other offers.
They remind me of traditional Bedouin date palm weaving – where they would make something conical shaped to cover food, like dates. There is a image here: https://images.fridaymagazine.ae/1_2113038/imagesList_4/1802150512_main-embed.jpg
