I am way late this month but I finally got my what sold in June done and posted to YouTube.
There is a chance it is gold flake from someone panning for gold. I have a lot of friends that do that and keep the little flakes in vials. If you have a whole bunch though and they look commercially produced I would think that they are probably novelty items. You see them at gift shops in the west that are “gold flake” from the river in the park you are visiting or the areas in California where the 49er gold rush took place. They are just very low gold content flakes in the little vial and they sell for 5-10 dollars but there is real gold content in them so they do have some value but not sure how much.
I think MDC is on the right track we used to have similar items made for some winery’s and fancy restaurants that changed their menu every day or week.
Jay already mentioned it but when I looked through your store I was thinking where is the “Make Offer” button. I would add make offer to all your items and use the auto accept feature of it. With all my collectible stuff I take The Scavenger Life advice and price high with best offer and I have it set to auto accept at about 90% of my price. I have a lot of offers get auto accepted that way. I get a fee low ball offers that I will counter and have gotten sales that way as well.
Also with best offer if you are asking 50.00 and you have a bunch of offers at 20.00 that can be a real market indicator. I haven’t really felt the need to mess with sales just because the list it and forget it with Best offer that Jay and Ryanne talk about has worked so well for me so far.
Just had this issue as ell so it is not fixed. I tried in Safari and Chrome. I use the app on my phone and was able to get it done that way.
Is the “blade” actually beveled? If it is a paper cutter it would only be beveled on one side. I agree with Ryanne as a cheese cutter it would be a nightmare to clean. If the “blade” is not beveled it may be a small paper folder for making small folded cards and such.
It does look a lot like the designs in Peru. Is it really soft? it may be Alpaca we have a few Alpaca items they are super soft.

I am doing best offer on almost all my listings, I set the auto accept at a price I am happy with but I don’t do an auto decline. So far this has worked pretty well I have had a few people make offers just under my minimum so it has allowed me to then message them and negotiate a price.
I don’t mind auto accept to save time but I don’t want to auto decline and lose a prospect.
05/12/2017 at 1:47 am in reply to: Small crackle finish plates, No makers mark character identification #17873I think they are meant to be crackled finish just because they glaze is smooth and the cracks are under the clear glaze but I don’t know much about crazing.
I am not sure how old they are I am thinking they may be some amateur work, they are about 6 inches across, so more like a sushi plate, a bit big for the sauce dishes.
I am not thinking they are worth a ton they are cool looking and I got them for 1.00

KI da cool looking piece for sure, it’s hard to tell without feeling it but from the look of it I would agree with rabbit fur. As for key words I am no expert yet by any means, it doesn’t look mass produced for sure so the first things that came to mind were handmade and folk art. Leather working is very popular in Japan and that kind of has the 60s-70s look to it or it could have just been someone who liked pandas.
Congrats!
Consignment can be worth it and a good way to build inventory without putting up capital. Just make sure you set the expectation properly when you start and as PickingPair said make sure to have a written agreement.
Also doing business with friends/family is always tricky, I have a couple I have done stuff with for years, but the majority of them I will not do business with too much emotion involved and not worth losing friends over.04/25/2017 at 12:33 pm in reply to: Eclipse Deals in Utah — Hit and Miss in the past working on Full time Now #17048Thanks again for all the info. I have sold almost 1 item a day since I got back and started listing 10 a day, not a whole lot but not to bad considering I have less than 60 items in my store.
I do agree with what you have said with selling what is interesting and having a variety. It really seems to be the best plan for steady growth and keeping it interesting and not getting burnt out. I am doing a bit of consignment but not sure how much of that will continue. Have fun on your trip! -
