Nope. I just typed in “plush fox toy” or something like that and this Prefilled page popped up. Happened to me at least ten times this week.
I just had this happen recently and I missed the sale. I was out, saw I had an offer but didn’t respond till I got home a few hours later. It was too late. It does say at the top of the offer email now “valid for 47 hours” or whatever. But I missed that. Such a bummer. Now I’m better about responding immediately.
Are we supposed to contact eBay to get a credit or is it automatic? I received the email and was able to activate the 200 listings but I don’t see any credit in my account. Wondering if I need to actually call them to get it to happen (and that’s likely not worth it for me since I’m a basic store.) was
Thanks!I’ve had several cancellations this week alone. It doesn’t bother me (too much) and it’s easy to re-list the items. However, with this fraud alert, the item was completely removed. eBay said in their fraud alert email to check my sold listings to access the item for re-listing purposes. I did that but it said the listing could no longer be found. I had to just dig out the item and start all over again. That was weird and annoying. I don’t think I’ve ever had trouble re-listing before.
06/11/2018 at 1:29 am in reply to: Best "Make Best Offer" Strategy on eBay as a vendor/seller #42097Wondering if anyone here uses the “decline offer” much? Sometimes I just decline an offer that’s too low and move on. Normally these too low offers are 50% or less of the asking price. Sometimes I don’t hear from the buyers again but many times I get a second offer at a higher price. I sell using best offer quite a lot and have wondered about the etiquette. One time I did get a terse message from a buyer asking why I would decline instead of counter. I just blocked them because I didn’t want to deal with that. But I have wondered if declining is some kind of poor eBay etiquette.
Ok, thanks! He hasn’t left negative feedback for others, so that’s a good sign. It’s clear it’s the same guy. In his message he says he buys these waffle irons a lot and they’re fragile so please package well…blah blah. But it’s the other account that shows several of them purchased so it’s obvious it’s him. I guess I thought this was soemthing eBay would want to check into but I am finding they don’t really care about this kind of stuff. They are way too busy to police buyers which makes sense. Let’s hope he just genuinely wants it like you said. Benefit of the doubt.
Like Sonia, I am unable to refund for just an item in an INAD case. I also have to accept the item, pay to ship it back, and then call eBay when the item is returned. eBay generally refunds the buyer 100% automatically from my PayPal account and then I have to file a Faulty Returns claim to get any money back.
I am still trying to get a $23 return label credit for my most recent INAD appeal that I won. Ebay gave me money back for the item itself as well as original shipping but eBay has so far refused to credit me on my invoice for the return label even though they sided with me.
03/30/2018 at 9:09 pm in reply to: I challenged an INAD case and won; can I get return label credit? #36788Ok, I thought it was automatic as well because the first person I spoke to when filing the appeal (a general rep) told me this. But when I mentioned that to the appeals rep, he said it is not automatic and depends on whether you get a rep who remembers to credit it to your PayPal account. I wonder if he was confused and thought I was talking about original shipping. That was already credited to PayPal.
If it’s automatic, when does it appear? As of now, I have no credits showing on my bill, but I do have a fee for the $23 return shipping. Is it possible it hasn’t shown up yet? Or maybe I need to call the billing number.
03/30/2018 at 4:39 pm in reply to: I challenged an INAD case and won; can I get return label credit? #36767Thanks for your help! Unfortunately it was a no-go. I was told the return shipping can be credited but only at the same time as the original credit. Once the appeal is closed that’s it. So it’s not something they offer, it’s something you have to ask for. Obviously I did ask, but unfortunately I asked a regular rep and forgot to mention it to the appeals rep. Live and learn!
Got it. Thanks so much for the information! My listing is https://m.ebay.com/itm/Elna-1010-Sewing-Machine-Swiss-Design-w-Power-Cord-Foot-Control/172849349879?epid=63269556&hash=item283e9fc4f7:g:7ewAAOSwYVBZquNk
Sounds like my big error was not listing “for parts” in the title. I just said in the description that it was used, dusty, stored a long time, probably needed a tune up, and was untested. I stated “as is” but I realize now that doesn’t mean much. The buyer argued that I never stated any of the above so the eBay rep said he probably didn’t read the description at all. The buyer did request my phone number and he called and left me a message. He sounded elderly and confused. I think it was just a mistake.
At any rate, the rep told me today that he has ten days to print the return label and if he doesn’t print it by April 3, I should call back.
Thanks again!
