“Who cares what rhe rules are. Give whateverthehell you want to give.” You go girl! I like your style! LOL:)
And I like the idea of a $50 gift card purchased for $40…Scavenger Style!
On Ebay’s listing web page on the right side of “Item Description”
right above “Advanced Editing” there is a link titled “Mobile-Friendly Checker”We have been having the same conversation at our house. We are new so we don’t have nearly the volume you do but we greatly appreciate the service we get from Corey our mailman. We make an effort on a regular basis to let him him know how much we appreciate his help. We jokingly tell him he is the head of our shipping department. I do everything I can to make the pickup process as smooth, easy and pleasant as possible for him because I know we’re just one of his stops among hundreds he makes every day. If it’s a smoking hot day here in Atlanta he gets a coke, if it’s a cold windy winter day he may get a hot chocolate to go. We would still like to do a little something extra for him for the holidays but weren’t sure what. According to the USPS official site your postal person is not allowed to accept any tip or gift of over $20.00 in value. Seems a little restrictive to me for a guy who is such an important part of our business model. We were thinking a gift certificate for movie passes, Starbucks or something he enjoys doing. We would love to hear what ideas others have come up with.
At this point everything goes in clear bins, or a shelf if it doesn’t make sense to go in a bin and some smalls and mugs go in drawers. I like clear bins because at a glance I can see if any one bin has room for an additional item as things sell and are removed from any one bin.
So:
Larger bins are numbered B1, B2, B3 ect.
Smaller bins for smalls are SB1, SB2 SB3 ect.
Shelves are likewise S1, S2, S3 ect.
Drawers are you guessed it D1, D2, D3 ect.
I am just starting out but wanted something that was scalable for the future. It’s a work in progress so we’ll see.As I list, I assign the item a resting spot that makes sense space wise for the item with the appropriate area and number. I also put that letter and number designation at the end of my listing so I can find it as it sells. What I have not been able to figure out and would greatly appreciate some help on is, how or where could I put this information on a listing so that when you print out an invoice it would print out on said invoice. Any ideas? Thanks
I do like the idea of providing the customer with a better experience like opening a box with the mug bubble wrapped inside instead of being in a poly mailer. It just seems like it shows you care more about the product and like Ryanne said with Ebay’s limit on 1st class now at 16oz it is cost effective for all but the bigger style mugs.
This video is the best explanation I have come across of the FOMO method. Anyone have any experience shipping this method? Thoughts? Comments?
So in the spirit of “there are no dumb questions” I have to ask….other that satisfying my voyeuristic curiosities how is this a useful tool? 🙂 Also any idea how far back in time it searches? Thanks

BwBark Atlanta.
We live in a condo community with over 900 condos. There is a large dumpster at the end of our street that gets emptied twice a week and that is often times not enough. People leave great stuff there all the time. Coffee makers, vacuum cleaners, art, furniture, microwaves, tvs, dog kennels, area rugs, shoes, luggage and the list goes on. They will often times set stuff off to the side because they know it’s still good and they must feel guilty throwing it away. I have harvested dozens of items there and sold them on craigslist. Last week I picked up a mini fridge brought it home cleaned it up, took some photos listed it on craigs list and it sold the next day for $75.00. Cha-ching! We actual call walking up to the dumpster with the dog “checking the trap”. 🙂
Opps….New Guy!
