And one almost identical to yours
I found a very similar one on Amazon
Also one claiming to be Japanese
Maybe these two can give you some keywords
12 for me, none for the November challenge.
We had a technology glitch and the tech who came out to check our lines suggested we replace our wireless router. Of course, that meant that every! single! item! needed an upgrade to the new system. Plus, my Fearless Other Half decided to make our wifi a hidden SID, which meant that each device had to be manually pointed to the new router. Eventually, His Royal Didn’t-Think-This-Through gave up on the printer and wired it into my PC, which means that he now has to print though my computer. I wonder how long it will be before that peeves Has-No-Patience beyond annoyed? And he had to open one channel for a couple of the other units to find because we couldn’t get them to connect. I honestly had no idea we had so many devices attached to our internet! Why-Do-I-Have-To-Connect-So-Many-Things is now complaining that it’s MY fault for upgrading the router instead of acknowledging that he’s paranoid and we didn’t really need a hidden SID. We live in the middle of nowhere, in a black hole with no cell or data signal within an eight mile radius, but yeah, let’s have a SID. Sure!
How long do you think I should let him calm down before I point out he still has to connect the Echo and our Home Theater? *wicked cackle*
Anyway, that kinda put paid to my listing for last week. Fingers crossed that my laptop works in the cabin, or All-Hell-Breaks-Loose will erupt like Mt Vesuvius! 😀
AF, you sure aren’t wired the same as other folks, are you? 😀 😀 😀
Are you a big fan of Captain Beefheart? I have to admit he’s not my cup of tea. But God can save Friday any time He likes! That one made me laugh!
Good advice from both of the two Heavy Hitters in this community. You’d be well served to pay attention. I follow their advice a lot and have never regretted it.
That being said, allow me to play Devil’s Advocate, because I’ve actually done this three times. On one occasion I literally got crap in my haul. Each time, crap included, I’ve come out ahead. Here’s my MO.
First offer lowest possible dollar. Counted up, each item that I KEEP will clock in at less than a dime in cost. I’m hauling everything for you, you are going to knock your price not to rock bottom, you’re going to rent a tractor and start digging lower. I’ve paid $100, $60, and $75 for my three hauls to date, and each time my SUV was loaded to the point where a mouse would have a hard time finding space. Mary Poppins the heck out of it! This is the only way it’s worth the time and effort.
Next: unpack into sorting bins. Trash, Maybe*, Donation (Goodwill?) and Keep. Sort IMMEDIATELY into sorting bins. Don’t put it away to sort later. You really, really, really don’t want to store that half eaten sandwich for six months! If you have to pick up today and sort tomorrow, sort tomorrow. Don’t put it off for longer than 24 hours. Even if you have a storage unit of stuff, make time to sort it as a major priority. Get floodlights and sort through midnight, if you have to. I know, I know, but I promise it’s good advice.
Now, take the trash to the trash and the donations to the donation center. Same day or next. Don’t muck about. Get it done and get it out.
Ooh. I’m a poet! 😀
*Time for a caveat. If you have a car full of stuff, you don’t need a Maybe category. Have your phone nearby and do a quick look up. Then sort into Trash, Donate, or Keep. Or grab a kid/cousin/colleague and let them do the look ups while you sort.
If you have a lot of stuff, try to work through your Maybe items within a week.
And that’s it. Whatever’s left is worth your time and attention.
Now, go back and read the prior suggestions. As mentioned, thems up there is good advice. I’m a bad puppy!
The movie Gremlins was released in 1984. That year I got a mogwai plush for Christmas. I loved that stupid plush! 😀
And all the Americans go “she spelled that wrong!” 😀
AF, you’re so funny! I love your humour.
Thanks, VT. Spreadsheet updated.
Thanks for all the compliments on my photos. *blush*
JR – yay! Someone else who hates clothes! And for the exact same reason. Those photos just kill me! I spent half of yesterday rearranging my cabin in the hope that I can create a better space for photographs. It’s amazing, I’ll move heavy furniture, unpacking and repacking to make it possible to move, but when it’s all done, I still don’t want to have to do photos. Clothes sell, for sure, but ugh! The photography!
Spreadsheet updated, Libby wins – and I have a challenge for you! There are 8 weeks left this year, and you only need 400 listings to hit 3,000 total. You gonna do it? 😉
Great week everyone! Go list now. Nearly there…
11 for me last week. My bestie commented that she had done over a thousand listings so far this year and when I compared my dismal numbers, it was a major motivation to get my weekly goal done! First week of my new motivation and I made goal PLUS one!
Accountability rocks!
One day I opened a parcel to discover the most beautiful, heavy, beaded bridal dupatta (head veil.) It was gifted to me by a wonderful person who shall remain anonymous unless she wishes to identify herself. To my delight, the dupatta made its way into our recent bellydance photo shoot. Unfortunately, the ones with it as a wrap were deemed unusable by the photographer, but I did get a couple of photos with it as a backdrop. My sincere thanks for this stunning piece.
November Challenge.
Got another surprise one for you this month. Tee hee hee!
Do you know anyone born in November? I have 5 ladies in my dance class alone! Well, did you know – most November babies are conceived on a popular celebration day. Can you guess it?
November Challenge is VALENTINE! 😀
Anything to do with Valentine’s Day: couples, love, hearts, red, pink, roses, jewelry (popular Valentine’s gift) or anything else you could justify as being part of the Season of Love! Borrowing JR’s great idea of “creative justification”!
Wow, VT! That’s fantastic! I got 25 for my total.
