Thank you for the advice!
I panicked after the email and worried eBay would shut my store down for something little like this. O well, slap on the wrist and keep moving on I guess, lol.July 7 – 13

Total Sales : $110
Highest Price: $35 (Schmid Mechanical Music Box, Bird Cage)
Average Price: $22

Cost of Goods Sold: $6

Number of New Items Listed this Week: 21Bummer sales on my end! But we at least had a good run at yard sales and auctions!
To piggy back on what Doubly mentioned. My mom called me and told me about a van that was near the area that she looked at briefly. We went to look at it and it was perfect for what we needed. We have named her Vanna White, haha, and she did very well during our yard sale abd auction trips this weekend! My mom went with us during our yard sale trip Friday morning. We found some neat things. We went to a church rummage sale, so small but it was worth it. My mom found this super neat hand-carved folding chair for $5.00! I’m not sure if it’s a pastors chair or something for the church but it’s cool! While she was taking that up front to hold/pay for I turned around and found boxes that read Salvatore Ferragamo. I thought no way I’m reading that right. I started to open boxes, making sure they were what they said. And behold they were! Women’s heels/flats style. I got sideswiped by this old bitty, she grabbed like 2-3 boxes claiming she knew who donated them. I’m like I will karate chop you, dis my spot! LOL I ended up with 8 boxes but I was bitter, I wanted them all, haha 😛 That honestly was my best find for the weekend.
The auctions were good. But really hot… No A/C at either building, so I wasn’t feeling my best. My grandma was at the first auction buying lots of jewelry, lol. I ended up trying some jewelry as well. The only bad thing about this auction was that they were trying out online bids. So that put a damper on what I could afford. Spent too much for my taste on this American Flyer Train set but I will make my money back and then some.
The last auction down the road from us was decent for me. I’ll end up making money, just nothing super crazy out of the box lots. I did manage to get a old Ouija board game. Super neat looking, glad I didn’t have to pay too much for it.
Welcome to the not allowed to list new items club! UGH! I received a similar email from eBay yesterday morning. It was about some Remington caps I had listed (other sellers had some listed and that’s why I listed mine a month or so ago).
I guess it started with a knife I had taken down last month because you cant list knives with Global shipping apparently. So I called and asked if they could relist it and I would remove Global shipping. They lied and said they couldn’t do that. Doubly has called in the past about removed listings and has had them un-removed and corrected. So I relisted/corrected the knife anyway.
After yesterdays email I went through my listings and they missed 2 more caps listings, which I removed, but I don’t understand how they go about doing this. Like you mentioned they could have explained this better. I hope the other sellers that had these listed are on a temp ban like I am.
So I’m on a 3 day no listing/revising ban. I almost feel like I just got detention in school, lol. That put a damper on my mood and I’ve been bummed out. I’m shocked you both got a similar email. And Jay you handled that email extremely well. If that person wants to be butthurt, let it consume them! lol. It’s sad how low people can be. Keep rocking on Jay!!
Have a good week all! 🙂

I’m not sure about the reason ThinkGeek closed down but apparently a couple years ago they were going to be bought out by Hot Topic. ThinkGeek declined the offer and instead went with GameStop! When I click on the old ThinkGeek link it redirects me to GameStop which is sort of liquidating ThinkGeeks stock… My hope is that maybe GameStop will revamp the old, awesome ThinkGeek items but it may be wishful thinking on my part 🙁-

Average Price: $42 (not including the scope case)
Returns: 0
Cost of Goods Sold: $17
Costs of Goods Purchased this Week: $30
Number of New Items Listed this Week: 35Hello all,
A better week for me. The military sniper scope case was an interesting find at an estate sale. We thought it was an art case of some type when I found it since it said ART on it, lol. But I threw it on auction and away it went. So that helped my funds, especially with our Seattle trip coming up.
I went to a couple yard sales with my mom on Friday. Nothing crazy but we got to spend some time together which was nice. Then I got to meet up with my best friend that moved to Georgia who was visiting family on the weekend, also a good time!
Other than that like Doubly said, trying to stay cool in this gross Ohio Valley humid weather.
I had two unfortunate things happen. I had read last week that Kirkman ended the Walking Dead comic series. I did not think I should go and stock-hold the last issue but I should have. People went bananas over it. And apparently it sold out. But I cant imagine that comic stores wont restock soon… so it’s just strange to me. And sadly one of my favorite stores closed and I didn’t know about it, ThinkGeek 🙁 Bummer! Also, I dig Reddit! Deleted Facebook couple years ago thanks to drama and wasting too much time on it. I support the move to Reddit if YOU two decide to do it and will follow. All good here 🙂
Have a good week all!

Number of New Items Listed this Week: 23Hello all,
It was a super slow week for me unfortunately.
Thankfully I had some good sales yesterday. Yard sales were sorta a bust for us this weekend. We went to a storage unit sale on Thursday. Lots of super awkward items… a lot of paraphernalia that should have been thrown far, far away, yikes, lol. Unfortunately there were some old Sega and Nintendo games that had been rained on and looked to have had mildew on them. It was really sad. The only thing I ended up with was a Cram’s Imperial World Globe.
We found a few things Friday. Got some neat hats (keeping a Miami Dolphins hat for myself lol), a Camelbak bag, and some old board games (Hearth Throb, Girl Talk Date Line). But it was a bust for me on Saturday for yard sales, while Dan went to an auction that turned out to be a bust as well.
We got together with some friends to try out a local-ish Pho restaurant Sunday. I’m not a huge fan but I tried one of the sandwiches which was alright but everyone else enjoyed their meals. It was really nice to get out of the house and catch up.Have a good week everyone!

Number of New Items Listed this Week: 20Hello all,
Like Doubly mentioned we had better luck with yard sales this week. My only beef was that when people list ‘community sales’ in areas it’s frustrating to end up only going to 3-4 houses when it should way more than that…
I ended up finding some nice video games for a quarter a piece! I scooped up all the good ones. Good thing I grabbed the ones I wanted cause some little old lady hurried up and bought the few I left behind lol. Found some shoes, couple Dooney & Bourke purses, a few hats and some Lionel trains.
The moving sale was interesting that we went to. I kept contemplating offering money on a box of comics but we left and I forgot. We ended up going back around when she closed up and knocked on her door. Thankfully we went back because I got them cheap plus a Pepsi jacket I wanted, for lower than what she originally asked.
Also over the weekend we got to pet some adorable dogs. My favorite was a pair of Great Danes, so sweet!
We also rescued a little painted turtle that was on the road after we went to weak community sale. Named him Raphael and released him in proper land. Hopefully he’s adventuring and training in the way of the ninja, haha
Have a good week all!

Number of New Items Listed this Week: 34Hello all!
Feeling a little better this week thankfully. And sorry Jay I didn’t get respond back! Yes, it’s so much better being at home trying to recover from a cold. I would have most certainly had called off a couple days if I was at my last job…
Like Doubly mentioned, we went to the Goodwill Outlet last Friday. I managed to get some things, lots of shoes lol. But they upped the prices on shoes so that was a bummer. Unfortunately since I was still feeling yucky I got tired super quick. But I found some nice Nike’s, Vans a pair of Dr Martens and a Patagonia jacket. And I found a 1977 The Shining Hard-Back Book Club Edition. Which I guess will so go for a decent amount. So that was fun.
Also, Happy Belated Birthday Ryanne! 🙂
Have a good week all!

Number of New Items Listed this Week: 30Hello all,
Really late on posting my numbers. Unfortunately I ended up catching a cold last Friday evening. I was out of commission all weekend. I managed to get my batch of cassettes I bought awhile ago sorted and listed/prepped before I got sick. It was neat going through them.
We went to some crappy yard sales last Friday. And I ended up not going to an auction Saturday morning because I felt like death. Didn’t miss much since it was a bust too.
This cold still has me in a funk but I’m trying to play catch-up with everything, lol. I hope everyone has a great weekend!May 26 – June 1 (was out of town)

I’m back from my convention trip. Sold a few things while I was out of town. Still need to pack those this evening.
Was a great, fun time at the convention with my friends. Went to panels, photo-shoot, dawned new outfits, etc but I’m glad to be home and back into the swing of eBay. I also feel so old after these 4 days of con time, haha But it really is a good time.
Hopefully we’ll have some yard sales or auctions planned coming up.Have a great day and week all 🙂

I hope everyone is doing well. I had a much better week thankfully! Besides selling the Victor Breeze fan I sold a pickle caster for $135 through the send offer on eBay. That was a fun surprise, lol.
As Doubly mentioned we had our first garage sale at the new house. I wasn’t a happy camper about someone stealing our yard sale sign… but we had more foot traffic than I thought we would with our location. And my mom stopped by to help out and brought us food!
I will be away for the remainder of the week starting tomorrow for my convention. So my store will be on vacation mode. Hopefully still selling items!
Have a great week all and happy selling 🙂

It’s been a mashup of eBay, house work and working on a cosplay for my con coming up.We went to a couple garage sales this past Friday. We ended up finding an elliptical super cheap at a rummage sale. Along with a Bell Telephone Employee Great Lakes Work Jacket, L.L. Bean long sleeve and a Christian Dior long sleeve and some neat old lanterns.
Went to more sales last Saturday with my mom. We found a plush from the 90’s show Dinosaurs, the baby. Along with some Pokemon and Primal Rage figures (needs cleaned unfortunately). Along with some other random items to list.Have a good week all! 🙂

Number of New Items Listed this Week: 20Hello all!
I hope everyone has been doing well.
I’ve been a little MIA lately. I have an anime convention the first weekend of June so I’ve been working on some things for that as well as eBay, haha.
It’s been a bit slow for me unfortunately. I put my store on sale mode to see if that will help drive sales.
I went on a yard sale trip with my mom over the past weekend and found some neat things. Dan Marino signed picture, not sure if it’s authentic but I’m keeping it. And a Phins vintage beanie!
A wooden sunburst wall clock, pair of Dr. Martens boots, Funko Pop figure, and a bundle of Sirius radio stuff I’m still tinkering around with. So that was fun!I also was hoping to ask for some advice.
We recently put up a security system near our garage that has our bin that holds our packages. We noticed the other day that the mail carrier was very rough with our packages. Pitching them into her Jeep, throwing our plastic carrier back into the bin and slamming the bin shut.
Today she cussed at our packages and at us when she opened the bin and saw the less than 10 lb package. And did the same thing as before.
I’m not sure how to proceed with this because I don’t want her to retaliate and damage the packages off screen. Thanks everyone!
We went metal, lol 🙂
And just in time we have a couple days of thunderstorms heading our way.*UPDATE*
The buyer just notified me that they finally received the item along with other packages from the post office. And that she’ll cancel the hold on my account from PayPal (which I already got taken off earlier).
Sounds like she should have listened to the eBay rep to call the post office in my first message. *face palm* lolI was actually just on hold with PayPal, lol.
The rep was very polite and said that yes tracking was provided (item was delivered) and that I have done everything necessary on my end. But mentioned that the claim was being reviewed in the back office (?). But if they needed any other information that they would contact me via email. He also made sure to place my funds back into my account.
So, I’m waiting until they either need more information or if they’ll just close the claim in my favor. -
