Hi NC i remember you and your posts, always enjoyed reading them. I have not listed any items on Ebay in years but still buy antique postcards if i stumble on a good deal on a collection. “Shipping is a breeze as well now that I can just print the label directly onto the envelope”. How does that work can you explain, do you need a special kind of printer and labels to print the addressees on an envelope ?
Retro managed to figure it out. Thank you.
Hi , your LED lights link doesn’t work for me. was interested to see your purchase. thanks.
Awesome post Retro! Good luck.
I find Google lens spotty for what I sell, old stuff. Here is a great site that I use nearly everyday for research. No affiliation. Check it out, https://avaluer.net/price_guide Cheers!
Oh OK that’s funny lol Thanks ChristineR
Hi ChristineR This was interesting to me “There was even a big rescue mission thrift that resold used cards’ Do you mean old greeting cards or postcards / I have always been interested in old greeting cards. Suzy.
Hi, I will be watching this thread for sure. Always thought about doing this also with a Facebook shop. Just never got round to it. Have sold collectibles on the marketplace and shipping through Pirate Ship. Never had a problem. Suzy.
I agree with Cheryl I would get a light tent so much cheaper and easy to move around and store.
I have tried quite a few light boxes and always had disappointing results, either to big and bulky or the LED were not bright enough or way too bright and shadows. Best batches of photos that I have ever taken came from using a light tent set up near a window with natural daylight. The daylight bulbs work well also. Just need to experiment a little. Cheers!
What Dymo printer is best for printing 1″ x 3″ labels ?
Firstly, Retro so very glad you are feeling better and back listing again. Thanks for replies . Watching thread. Thank you.
Patches shipping help needed. Sold a few patches from my stash last Friday. Do I just throw them In and envelope, hand write out the address by hand and add a stamp or print a shipping label ? How do I print a small address shipping label as my thermal printer only prints 6×4. Thank you.
Thanks for replying. Wishing you many more sales!
millionairedojo 75 listings every day 5 days a week WOW well done, that’s a lot of listings. How do you ship the patches, letter mail, I’m guessing?
Hi, I had a couple of fairly successful eBay stores about 10 years ago. Sold pretty much anything that i could find to make a quick buck. Always thought about selling patches from a large patch only store so started to purchase patch & pins lots whenever I ran into them at flea markets, auctions etc.
After a few years of collecting I had many thousands of patches 6 or maybe even 7 thousand nice patches. Perhaps even more.
Never got round to listing them as could never figure out the best way to photograph/scan or ship them, looks like it is easier now with the new eBay shipping function.
Sadly my elderly parents got sick, decided to sell up my home and move closer to them to try help them out. Sadly the huge chest full of patches & pins went missing during the move. I didn’t realize for a long while that the chest was even missing. So never got to sell even one!
Do you place in something like a patch in postcard top loader, plastic holder to ship or just in a simple single envelop or even a bubble mailer? I always wanted to know. Cheers! Suzy.
