Picked this up at an estate auction because nobody wanted it. They threw in 2 or 3 boxes full of pottery and I paid $1 total. Overall grabbed about 100 items and broke even on 1 sale. I’ll be going to their auctions a lot more. Also spent $1 total for every painting at the estate. Unreal.https://www.ebay.com/itm/323937891173
Bought this at a garage sale last year. I got 4 or 5 bowling balls $1 each. I procrastinated and just got them listed about 2 weeks ago. Sold 2 already. Really easy to ship when I bought them in the box.https://www.ebay.com/itm/323944219709
These just went today $25 shipped. Probably spent 25 cents on them at a garage sale and finally listed last week.A friend of mine who occasionally sells on Ebay, used this to send a bunch of offers and made 4 sales overnight. I just checked it out and it seems to only show 5 random items that it will allow you to do this for. I did send items for a couple of them, but the items with higher watch counts did not pop up as an option. I would imagine it would be more successful if there are 5+ watchers on an item.
Seems like a neat idea. It may get spammy, but if it leads to sales…
I did this a couple weeks ago. researched an item and decided not to purchase it for 2 bucks, butt purchased for $10+$16 shipping. I didnt realize it until the item arrived, so I kept it. It’s not opened, just waiting to delist and hopefully recover some of the loss.
Probably $1000 in waste, the rest has been scavenged. It’s been very easy to collect from yard sales, estate sales, and now I’ve been to a couple auctions. The waste sales have really slowed quite a bit because the competition lowered the price. I don’t feel the need to do the same because they all sell eventually.
07/12/2018 at 11:20 pm in reply to: What Sells On eBay: Vintage electronics, Vintage Advent Speakers, Car parts, Models #45278I just broke 400 listings and am in the midst of my best week. June was real slow, but only the 2nd month pushing Ebay.
Vintage Gucci bag-got it for free with purchase of MK boots at a garage sale. Sold $275
https://www.ebay.com/itm/323317931208Unique Brooks Brothers polo-“overpaid” $7, sold $35 right away
https://www.ebay.com/itm/32332839020416′ pool pieces-got this entire pool for free from a guy I had given my old propane grill too. Turned into a good business connection. It will part out for more than the cost of a new pool. Got my inspiration here after listening to the podcasts about parting old computers. I’ve sold 5 pieces in a week. 60 similar pieces.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/323329738288My bread and butter seams to be power tools and battery chargers. I find these all the time for a buck or 2. I paid $35 for a 7 piece Milwaukee tool kit which I have mostly sold–this is one of the last pieces
https://www.ebay.com/itm/323316455937I had my first book sale on a German book, but that was just over a week ago. Comps seemed to be half of my price, but the printing in my book was old and cool so I followed the advice and priced where I thought was way too high. It sold the same day listed for $90–I got 6 similar books for $15 total at an estate sale.
