Jay – If you hover over Listings and get the pull down menu, Inventory is the second item down. I don’t know if that is what Amatino is referring to or not.
10/03/2017 at 8:25 am in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 329: 200+ Ebay Sales To Pack. We’re Not Complaining. #23561My husband is the one who is a big fan of that movie and often quotes from it. He got a kick from the title as well!
For those that don’t know the movie, the actual quote is:
My Name Is Inigo Montoya, You Killed my Father, Prepare To Die10/02/2017 at 8:44 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 329: 200+ Ebay Sales To Pack. We’re Not Complaining. #23547Week of Sept 24 – 30

* Number of items listed this week: 43Week started out really, really slow, but got back to normal mid-week. I feel like maybe the slow down was due to the mistake I made in shipping out several items two days late. I have no proof of this, but I’m allowed a conspiracy theory every once in a while, right?
My parents are going to be visiting this weekend, and they are bringing me another car load! I still haven’t caught up with my backlog (or death piles), so I won’t be doing much sourcing for the next few weeks. I have an auction on Oct 12 that I want to go to. I’ll just have to be careful with what I buy.
I was looking through the estate sales for this weekend (but didn’t go to any). I noticed the title of one that was pretty funny. For those who like the movie The Princess Bride, you might find this amusing:
My Name Is Inigo Montoya, You Found My Estate Sale, Prepare To Buy!
10/01/2017 at 5:12 pm in reply to: Customer leaves positive feedback with a negative comment? #23460If the comment is positive, why just not leave it there? Most people will look at the number next to the star & the percent of positive feedback. Very few will actually click in to the read the feedback.
Personally, if that happened to me, I’d just block the person so that they can’t buy from me again and move on. Why give them a refund? They can’t change it to negative. Once they leave feedback (positive or negative), they can’t change it unless you ask and set it up for them.
Got it. Very cool.
I don’t see it. Do you still see it?
That is awesome! Some other companies should take note. It’s good publicity.
Could you leave a link to your listing? I’d like to see what the badge looks like.

Like Sonia said earlier, the signature wasn’t on the photo itself, so perhaps it was the photographer.
Now I have to fix the frame by getting new glass. So, I won’t be listing it right away. I have some glass from a damaged print that I can use. Once upon a time (like 30 years ago), I took a class in framing and the teacher taught us how to cut glass. I didn’t do very well with it, but now there is You Tube. Then again, I might end up selling the photo/autograph as-is.
I do have the Shaquille O’Neil framed photo listed. By the way, the Shaq and the Michelle Kwan framed photos came from the same online auction.
Thanks everyone for all the help!!
09/28/2017 at 9:29 pm in reply to: What Sells On eBay: Vintage Coleman cooler & Lantern, Polaroid cameras, Military parka, Halloween costume, models, Magnavox console #23402I bought four lamps on auction for $6. This mission style lamp works, but has a bunch of marks and doesn’t come with a shade. Nevertheless, it was the first to sell at $23, bought for $1.50.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/182768632432I’ve mentioned that I sometimes can get lots at an online auction for the minimum bid of $1. I’ve already sold one vintage software package from a $1 lot, and here are two more that sold for $23 & $20.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/182687780114At one of the live auctions I go to, the minimum bid is usually $5, but, if they come to the end of a table and can’t add more boxes, they will sometimes go down to $2.50 (+ 15% premium). This vintage crate was combined with something else I haven’t listed yet. Paid $1.75, sold for $25. It is headed back to CA.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/182770350668Sort of ironic, but these Christmas salt & pepper shakers were combined with a box of Jewish stuff I wanted at auction. I paid $0.50, sold for $27.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/182570192887Sanforized just means that something has been done to the fabric so that it doesn’t change in size once it has been washed.
What you could have is interfacing or a stabilizer for sewing:
http://www.joann.com/bosal-in-r-form-on-a-roll-single-sided-fusible-foam-stabilizer/14555676.html#start=1Or binding back for quilting or crafts:
http://www.joann.com/wrights-double-fold-quilt-binding-7-8inw-x-3yds/prd34298.html#start=1Both products are similar and are used to stiffen fabric.
Maybe someone might be willing to pay more for it because what you have is vintage.
09/26/2017 at 3:08 pm in reply to: Help with autographs – Orlando Magic #32 & Female ice skater from NY #23313Yes, that is possible. If that is the case, I really don’t think that the photo has much value for selling. If I can pin it down as the photographer or someone like that, then maybe.
09/26/2017 at 2:38 pm in reply to: Sourcing – Thrift Stores / Estate Sales / Garage Sales / Auctions / Craigslist #23310The online auction company that I like is called Maxsold.com. However, they are only in certain markets. You will need to go on their site and type in your zip code to see if anything is within 80 miles or so of your home.
Other live and online auctions can be found at auctionzip.com. In addition, estatesales.net has a tab for auctions, and it is a bit cleaner. With Auctionzip, you will need to click through the calendar days until you find something that looks interesting or do a more detailed search.
09/26/2017 at 2:03 pm in reply to: Help with autographs – Orlando Magic #32 & Female ice skater from NY #23309OK, now I’m convinced. I know names and hear about scores, but I don’t follow sports in general and basketball not at all. I didn’t see the match when I originally did my research, but now I think it is him.
09/26/2017 at 2:00 pm in reply to: Help with autographs – Orlando Magic #32 & Female ice skater from NY #23308Initially, I didn’t think that the photo looked like Shaquille O’Neal, but I’m coming around. I’m seeing some similarities in the autograph compared to what I see online.
My original close up photo of his face came out blurry, so I didn’t include it. I retook it using my phone this time and added it to the imgur link. What do you think?
09/26/2017 at 1:52 pm in reply to: Help with autographs – Orlando Magic #32 & Female ice skater from NY #23306The lady in the photo and the pictures of Michele do look similar, but I’m not sure. The signature does not look anything like Michele Kwan, although, when someone is signing for an hour or so, their writing can get sloppy. Another thing, though, is that Michele is from California, and I’m not sure why someone would put her with a NY backdrop. Maybe I’m thinking too much into it.
