If it’s on the sole I have actually left it. Here’s my philosophy (I have a philosophy on used shoes?), if I’m buying super expensive shoes for a fraction of the retail price I don’t care if there’s a 4 on the sole. Magic Erasers are bleach? That just doesn’t seem right. But they are magic.
We bought a little glass dog at a yard sale. My husband said “That’s junk from Walgreens.” Turns out it was an Akro Agate dog that would have been filled with candy when it was new. It was a peachy pink color and I think it was a Scotty. We started getting helpful emails telling us what it was and updated the listing. Cross category appeal made our $3 buy sell for over $400! That was years ago, still looking for a repeat.
True. My husband was part of two Voices of eBay conferences way back when. I was the worker bee! Type those listings, deposit the checks (yes, no PayPal) etc. He took all our photos, which had to be hosted, and did the packing. I need to get back into selling on a grander scale.
