Two random questions:
(1) Anybody knows how do I update my profile picture here?
(2) On TrueGether, anybody knows how to access and print the Packing Slip? Bonanza is already a secret, but on TG I could not at all find, so I am using PayPal instead.
11/28/2016 at 10:19 am in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 286: Black Friday, Just Another Day on eBay #6699Been a while since my last update, been willing to provide deeper details for sometime.
First off, wanted to share my message with the community, had all my 5 kids home for our favorite time of the year, so time was precious.
Anyway, Jay, Ryanne, Bev, Sue, Schultz and many others I’ve been interacting for little under a year, I am tremendously grateful to you. J&R allowed me to be part of this phenomenal community, it’s America at it’s best, and all of you are enablers of my journey. THANK YOU!!As summary, I have my main eBay channel with some auxiliary channels (Grailed, Amazon, eCrater, Bonanza, TrueGether, Etsy) where my combine sales have been:
Aug: $1,906.89
Sep: $1,956,86
Oct: $1,984.85
unfortunately the business is very slow for me in Nov ($887.23), which will not keep my steady growing month over month sales.
I sell mostly on eBay, the other channels help me to complement, even though I only list on Amazon new boxed stuff (even though they have been finding all excuses to remove my brand new, sealed on original box everything). Slow lister on Etsy and the others are just synchronizations of eBay (grailed is different because men’s Designer and Top Fashion are GREAT sales there). From one side, I learned to take advantage of the environment (had accumulated a handful of Trump related items like Biography from the 80’s) and nice Xmas related collectibles (antique and vintage) like Xmas train parts (found a complete one from early 80’s that was totally broken, so I sold each locomotive and wagon separately, sold very fast for different people certainly willing to restore). Great learning’s for the next year indeed.
Found a Thrift where a lady dumped dozens of Salvatore Ferragamo Shoes. Been a great deal, I am buying little by little and listing little by little. They are mostly 1-2 wore and with boxes, etc. This Thrift started to scavenge other similar elder people so many Channel, Louis Vuitton, etc. I am helping her to authenticate and she gives me good discount.
My store is at 500 items, possibly my 1000 goal will not be met. The good thing is the traffic because of constant listing, but also, as many of you commented on this podcast and on Schultz podcast, I have been listing low ticket items which is certainly one of the factors affecting my revenue in november given similar number of items sold.
Also, I want to provide an overall view of my 3 main lines of business together, comparing time dedicated to each, etc, but I am not sure if the community would be interested.
My Freelancing Blog is doing fine. I think I have dedicated more time on my freelancing business in November too.
To finish, I am heartbroken. my middle son left Saturday, the older boy left yesterday with girlfriend and my daughter (oldest kid) leaves tomorrow. I should by a ranch in Montana away from civilization to have my babies close to me all the time 🙁

11/15/2016 at 6:07 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 284: Where did you learn about money? #5904Welcome to The Misfits Lair
http://www.themisfitslair.comFriends, interestingly I read several comments and a couple of phone questions to Jay and Ryanne about their Freelance projects.
I have been directly or indirectly (hired freelancers during my entire professional life) in my Computer Sciences Engineering Career. It seems little to nothing exists out there like the Scavenger Life for freelancers.
I started and never moved any Blog in my life, now because of the example set here and the fact there is a huge universe to explore, I started this one dedicated to people looking for the Freelance world, mostly on IT, with some Finance, Accounting and relatives too.
The idea is the Scavenger Life for Professional Services.
I plan to update it weekly, I talked with some friends to contribute. Visit me if you are interested.
Looking good.
11/14/2016 at 3:55 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 284: Where did you learn about money? #5790Amazon asking me more and more to stick to eBay:
” Dear Seller,
As we have previously announced, the Holiday Selling Guidelines for the Toys & Games store go into effect November 17, 2016. Sellers must meet the set guidelines to sell in the Toys & Games store through the remainder of the year.
We regret to inform you that you do not meet the Holiday Selling Guidelines and we have removed your ability to sell seller-fulfilled items in the Toys & Games store during the holiday season. Amazon will notify you at the end of the holiday season when the restriction has been removed.
In order to view the listings that we have removed, follow the below steps.
1. Access the Manage Inventory tool
2. Towards the upper left side of the page, click the circle next to the Inactive filter
Please do not create new Toys listings until further notification.
Regards, Amazon Services

Dying to share many updates.
In short, listed a handful of Trump-related items during election week, made good money indeed.
On the verge of 500 items listed. Remember my ultimate goal for this business is to get to 1000 items by the end of the year. Target is challenged but I am working with that mindset. -
