I have similar situations and ended with the same feelings as you. I’m not protecting a billion dollar brand though so it is a touch different. However, I agree with the sentiment and it would definitely make my life easier.
I have definitely thought about organizing buyers. However Supreme releases a catalogue of everything dropping that day so he can instruct them what to buy without going in. With an outlet you have to know or research each shoe.
Was it holy rollers? It’s funny you bring it up because I have been 86d from multiple casinos for the same thing. I’ve never bothered with disguises as I never give my ID and have enough of a rotation that I don’t have to visit one place too often. My closest casino has walked me out at least 10 times. When she approached me it felt exactly like the casinos but much nicer.

The amount I buy is way more than even the largest family could use. I debated lying but didn’t think it was worth it. I played a little koi but buying 30 pairs a week in random sizes was pretty blatant.
It was very obvious I was a reseller and I didn’t deny it. Many stores have policies in place about purchasing for resell.

They idea is to protect their brand. They want their items displayed, merchandised, and prices they way they want to represent their brand. I totally understand this argument. Having a successful clothing brand that endures is very tough. For instance I remember when true religion jeans were the jeans to get. Not so much anymore. Where I live vans and bikes have been cool since I was a kid. Very few clothing brands have that sort of cache that is so enduring. However, while I get their side, NikeGuy is out here trying to get that paper! So they are going to have take a bigger step if they want to actually stop me.
Cleaning out my house is one of my favorite activities. We hare clutter so we are constantly selling and giving away our old things. Flipping something is great but selling something that you used to own is seven better! My advice would be to just take the step and make the eBay account. Just sell the smaller easier to ship items and you’ll make so much more. Welcome!

I’m not here to just get information (though that always helps) but because you guys are my people! I don’t even like talking about flipping with people because they think it’s like a scam or something. Why don’t they go to the thrift store/Nike outlet instead of buying from you from a marked up price? don’t you feel bad making a profit off of people? If lowes could only sell that grill for 250 why do you think you can sell it for 500 (a Brickseek flip I sold this morning)? People in my life just don’t respect the hustle. But I’m pretty sure you guys here on this forum are my tribe!

This is exactly it. I get complacent way too fast. Man, I wish I could take the leap but I’m so scared!
She is really pushing me to do it! So that’s covered.
I think this might be the move! Really have thought about taking some sort of leave in order to dip my toe for a month or six weeks. I have a slight ethical issue with it without thinking too much about it. But definitely something to think about more.
This is the real struggle for me. It isn’t the money, the money is there. It’s just fear of failure and fear of having to “start over” at 40 when I know that if I continue on this road money will never be an issue for myself or family. I also have a lot of autonomy of my time and schedule and work at work so I don’t feel like I’m grinding. I definitely like flipping more, but that is also work. In general I’m pretty happy wherever I am which is sort of a flaw for an entrepreneur.
Hi Mark! As far as the financial checklist I have those boxes checked. We are fortunate to have a savings and my wife’s job covers all of our monthly expenses and then some. I’m mainly scared of “throwing away” 10 years of a steady job/career 401k Etc and having to start over if everything fails. I’m more scared of that then leaving money on the table. But I think I want to get over this fear. I also don’t necessarily enjoy my job but I enjoy my coworkers and have a lot of autonomy and rapport.
My wife really wants me to quit but I think her expectations of me working for myself are a little unrealistic. I think she thinks I would have limitless time when in reality I might work more than before. I appreciate your thoughts!
Most only go on goat and eBay. Right after I sell something I remove it from its counterpart listing.
eBay definitely has a counterfeit issue. Depending on the model there will be more fakes posted then genuine shoes. Both goat and StockX have you ship the shoes to them where they verify them for authenticity and accuracy. To compete eBay has cut seller fees to zero on shoes over 100 which is definitely bringing sellers back but I still personally prefer when a shoe sells on goat vs eBay.
