I started selling on Poshmark only about 2 months ago… here is what my limited one-person experience says. It’s a pretty flooded market; same thing happening that happened with clothes on eBay (tons of videos and courses about how easy it is, so everyone rushes out and buys the same things). At least that’s my amateur opinion. :0) It does take time, in that you have to spend time each day sharing your listings and other people’s, liking, following, etc. I have had some sales, some of which have been pretty good. However, it seems that no one (at least none of my buyers) have wanted to pay the listed price. I’ve heard to add $7-10 to the price you want when you list an item (listing isn’t hard to do, although your photos have to be square so you may need to run them through a third party app). My daughter also sells there and says it’s a very common thing to get offers. I still see it as a viable side option, but right now I’m finding that my time spent on eBay is more profitable. Side note… many many people sell perfume and partially used gels, lotions, etc. but if you read Poshmark’s restrictions, that is not allowed. Maybe because the only shipping is Priority?
Great idea! But I wish I could hear that cha-ching times two…
I do have a pretty basic question about opening a second store. Do we need to create a separate eBay ID and use a different email, but still link the same Paypal account? Is there a way to move listings over (in bulk or one by one)? I would hate to have to end each item and create a totally new listing in a new store but I realize that might be the process. I can’t seem to find this info on the basic eBay help pages.
Thank you two (and everyone else in the forums) for all the info you regularly share!
It does look like that item is getting some views; I guess it’s listed as “underperforming” because of the sales conversion rate? I agree that it would be nice to know definitively if the tinkering we do, and various strategies we THINK help out at times, really makes
a difference. I guess we just continually tinker! :0)ChristineR, too funny… competing against yourself. I don’t see a way to filter items with recommendations only, and when I go into a specific listing most of them have traffic information only (no info on prices or trends). Probably this will all change in time anyway.
Thanks for the responses, y’all!!

THANK YOU BOTH!!!!!!!!!!! I knew there had to be something simple I was missing.
No, I have never used that field. Could I assign the same SKY to 60-70 items or does it need to be different for each one?

We just got a Dymo 4XL and love it; I’d like to order replacement labels from eBay but it seems that everything is “Dymo compatible.” I’m wondering what your experience is with the compatible labels. I know using them voids the Dymo warranty and since it’s a new machine, I wasn’t sure. Thanks in advance!!

As I said (and thanks to some things you said earlier this year), I’ve been ending listings that are about to re-up and have many views, and re-listing as sell similar. Some have sold, many have not, but I am becoming convinced that ebay likes an active store… new listings (even if you’re just listing things you’ve ended), feedbacks, editing, etc. I don’t have a large enough store where that’s a problem, it’s just part of the daily routine.
Thanks again!!

It’s probably very basic, but I’m wondering how you can view the age of your inventory without clicking into each item. I have been re-listing when items get a lot of views but no action, but am not sure how to view that other stat.
Thanks!!
