TO THE MAN WHO BOUGHT TRUCKER HAT WITH CRUMBLING FOAM…SELL THEM!! You just vacuum out the foam and you disclose it in your listing. Folks are more than happy to buy them and pay big money for them. Every once in a while I actually have to wash one even after vacuuming out the foam, is the foam is trapped behind stuff, but otherwise you are good to go.
I had the same question at one time after buying a huge moving box full of vintage trucker hats with great logos and patches. Because most were new I never thought to check the insides, so I was really bummed when I got them home and the foam had disintegrated. Sure enough that same day I was in the Facebook group The Thrifting Board and that specific subject came up. A great seller who does a ton of business in used hats gave the advice I noted above. He sells them all the time. Sure enough, I did what was suggested and they sold for good money and consistently! Good luck!
