This cannot be the yarn used for making Harris Tweed as it must all be produced in the Outer Hebrides, so a mill on the mainland of the UK would not have been producing this yarn. In addition, the yarn cannot go by the description ‘Harris Tweed’ – only the Orb stamped cloth can be called this. You can find out more by going to the website of the Harris Tweed Authority.
